Katy’s Nails

Fantastic! Katy’s is inexpensive, quick and the great thing was that I could just relax in the massage chair without a load of boring chit chat. Good selection of qualify nail colors, they also do waxing and threading. It’s not modern or fancy but your nails will look lovely.

This is third time lucky for me paying to have my nails painted professionally!
The first time was painful and pricey.
The second was pricey and painful.
Here at Katy’s was pleasant, painfree, cheap with good results!
It’s the first time I’d been to a nail salon like Katy’s — minimal talking, sit and wait for a free technician, speedy but efficient service — so I didn’t quite know the deal. There were a few awkward moments where I had to be told where to go, when to wait, what to do. But everyone was great at their job, and I was very happy with my £30 pedicure and manicure which has lasted me a full week without issues.
Just make sure you go with cash! I had to run out mid way after spotting their «Cash Only» sign on the wall. Luckily there’s a cash point a few doors down.

I’m from California where I am use to cheap manicure and pedicures under 30 dollars, and have searched in London for 3 + years looking for a cheap manipedi. I have finally found it at Katy’s nails, which opened this year. Located right next to Paddington Tube and close to Lancaster gate tube, its pretty easy to get to. It’s not as cheap as in Cali, but the cheapest (while keeping quality) I have found so far. A mani/​spa pedi costs around 30 pounds (don’t quote me on that, as prices might change later).
Anyhow, the times I have been there during the day, there was no wait and service has been really good and professional, the equipment seems new and the salon is clean. They downside is that they only seem to have two people working there, so I’m guessing it could get busy if more people go, so if you are travelling from far, could be good to call beforehand. Oh yeah, another potential downside is that they only take cash, but it is right next door to a Natwest bank.
I’m a bit torn in writing this review because I hope they get more customers, but at the same time, if more people go, I don’t want to have to wait when I get my mani pedis there! Anyhow, I’m hoping I get good karma for doing the right thing :)
They also do waxing/​treading/​eyebrow tinting/​nail art/​acrylic nails but I have not had those services before, so I can’t review them.
