Had a lovely dinner here — décor and atmosphere are great. The food was good but not great, but we used the Tastecard deal which gave 50% so overall it was very good value for what we paid.

We went here because they had a 50% off with a Taste Card deal. I would definitely go back without that deal, though. You know how usually if someone picks up the bill and goes ‘oh my god’ with wide eyes, that means you’ll all be walking home because you can’t afford the bus? In this case, that meant ‘oh my god it’s only £35 between 3 of us’.
We ordered a variety of hot and cold mezze dishes including hummus, aubergines with yoghurt and pomegranate, spicy sausage, falafel, lamb fritters, halloumi in pitta, and spicy potatoes. All delicious, with pitta bread and a selection of olives and pickled things. Seven dishes between us and a beer each and we were stuffed and very happy.
I would happily recommend this place for a chilled out meal with friends.

Oh, Kaslik. We could have been such good friends. We could have been bros. We could have had something special.
You had all the things I like: cutesy pseudo-​Middle Eastern décor (I’m a sucker for the cushions and the tables and the lanterns, ok?), stupidly close to home, and tasty food.
But then you broke my heart with your tiny portions that were a seriously poor value even for the location, and by not letting us know that your credit card machine was broken until after we’d eaten, despite the fact that you knew it was from the second we stepped in. That’s just really poor form, and you’re very lucky our bank was right around the corner, but you could have told us sooner so my partner didn’t have to run out for cash while I stood awkwardly by the table like a down-​payment hostage.
The highlights of the meal were the aubergine slices with labneh and pomegranate seeds, and the deliciously-​seasoned meat, of which there was only one skewer per person as a main – which made the mains horribly overpriced. The lowlights were the pickled aubergines (they lacked herbs) and the fattoush salad (soggy and limp, despite ours being the first table of the day).

We ordered 4 appetizers and all were pretty good.

We decided to change our restaurant on the last minute due to an appointment to meet a friend in Soho. On that night we’re feeling like middle eastern food and for our surprise this place was spot on!
I called 30 min before going to make a reservation and the staff was super friendly. Also when we arrived there the atmosphere was happy, loud and decoration matching everything you would find in a restaurant in the Middle East!
We ordered a selection of cold and hot mezze, which included, stuffed vines leaves, hommus, tabbouleh, baba ghanouj, falafel, vegetarian kibbeh, lebanese spicy lamb sausages, pitta bread and marinated chicken wings grilled, served with garlic purée!
After we ordered it took 10min and the food was in our table! We’re so surprised and wondering if all that quick serve would bring also any bad surprise with the food, but fortunately it didn’t! Everything was really tasty and fresh! We saw all this food coming onto our small table, they nearly had to put something alway but we put the pitta straight in our plates and gave them a tiny space left to fit the last dish!
Awesome quick meal! Only two of us and couldn’t finish it all, huuuge portion that could perfectly feed three.
The staff were great, always smiling and around! We had a bottle of lebanese white wine for the first time ever and it was actually quite nice!
Can’t wait to visit them again!

Popping here for my mates birthday a few weeks ago. We had the downstairs area as there was quite a big group of us.
The setting is really nice with nice seating (don’t go to the gym the day before and do legs. The seats a pretty low!!!)
The food was really nice, we all had mixed grills I think which was great.
With a big group of people like that sometimes is can be difficult to serve everyone but it was really good.
I’ll come back and definitely one to check out if in the area.

Ate at Kaslik for the first time tonight.
Settled in to the comfortable low-​slung furnishings, relaxed vibe and a Lebanese beer and let the work-day’s stresses melt away. Starter was Tabbouleh, among the best I’ve had anywhere. Main course was lamb kafta. Meat, rice, bread were all hot, tasty and generously portioned. Service was attentive and affable, despite the full house of after-​workers.
I can fully recommend Kaslik based on tonight’s experience. I’ll be back next time I’m in town.

I came here with a big group, and we’d had a reservation a week in advance. The food was pretty good, but not worth the money and definitely not good enough to get past the weird stale hookah smell that was everywhere and the rude service. The waiter seemed really irritated, and I even caught him rolling his eyes a few times when we asked questions about the menu or asked for more water. He also seemed extremely bothered by the fact that we were ordering off a regular menu, not a «set» menu (that we were never even given or told about). I had never had lebanese food before, but if I ever decide to try it again, I definitely won’t be going here.

We were taken here by Friends and i was sceptical due to the the location however i was very pleased we came here.
The service was non descript and almost indifferent however the food made up for this.
The dishes were well prepared and very tasty, good protion sizes and all arrived in good time.
the menu choice is good and theres some good veggie options too if youre not a meat eater.
The restaurant itself is very small and not comfortable enough to stay all night but it serves its purpose.
The price is very reasonable and theres a great local wine thats very drinkable indeed.
Also there s a lovely mix of people that drop by and keep a good atmosphere. We would return here if in the area.

We ate at Kaslik last night. we were 12 people or so… and the service was very poor. Unfortunately we were shipped downstairs into the lower area which is by the toilets and smells very bad indeed. The chicken is ok… but dont try the lamb or the red meats unless you have razor blades for teeth! CHEWY as hell! needless to say the 12 of us weren’t impressed and wont be going back. We’ve since been told we should go to Maroush in the city. if only we knew yesterday we could have avoided Kaslik! ;(

I’ve been coming here for ¾ years and for the most part I’ve liked Kaslik a lot. More recently though the food has been hugely stale, not freshly prepared and we’ve been charged incorrectly twice in the past 6 weeks.
We ate there this past weekend and Im afraid we are now done with Kaslik. The bread was cold, the meat was very chewy and more annoying. there is a waiter we always dread having wait our table.
This waiter is the most arrogant and disinterested I think I’ve ever met. The owner with the long hair is always helpful and polite, but a more recent addition to the wait staff (a younger guy with a mole on his forehead) is so arrogant that he looks almost ‘troubled’ by any request for further drinks or more food. So ultimately we wont be going back for a year and only then if we hear better reports about the food which will hopefully get back to standard in the future. AVOID!

My beau and I hit up Kaslik for a date to mark one month of dates!
They were pretty crowded upstairs so they gave us the option of overflowing into the downstairs – having the whole room to ourselves was kind of perfect for the occasion, rather than being elbow to elbow with other diners.
The décor is luxurious: fabric draped from the ceiling, colorful cushions, great for reclining and cuddling. Good music, not too loud. The waitstaff were attentive but didn’t rush us at all.
Heady floral iced teas arrived, perfect for the weather. I got a mixed grill and the man got «some kind of lamb in a wrap». Our memories for the names of things faded faster than memories of the food though – it was really well seasoned and I kept picking at his meal. With sides of grilled halloumi and hummous with pita, we left more than satisfied.
Slightly on the pricey side, but this was a good experience.

The restaurant is Lebanese but the interior seems to be designed by an someone who thought that there was no difference between a Lebanese décor and a Moroccan one! Nevertheless, we are not visiting the place to admire the walls but rather to admire the food!
The restaurant has two little dining halls; one at street level and the other is in the basement, and I assume that the one below is only for private hire as they were turning diners away when the top room was full. The restaurant has an unusual seating plan in which you have ottoman like seats surrounding large handmade brass trays placed over small wooden tables.
The food in general is very good, Jawaneh (chicken wings) are always reheated and overcooked but they still retain some of the nice taste that they would have. Grills are extraordinary but usually in the medium side, so if you don’t like redness in your meat tell them. The highlight of the menu (although it can be a bit greasy) is Arayes which is normally served as a pressed Lebanese bread filled with mince meat, with these guys the minced meat is given and extra kick with spices layed on top of puff pastry like crunchy bread.
Expect to pay around 6.5£ for starters and 10£ for main courses, currently the restaurant is in the half price offered by tastecard

Fantastic little gem in the heart of Soho. Service is not why you come here. It’s all about the Mezze. We tried a selection of about 5, including Kibbeh, Moutabal, Vine Leaves, Sujuk sausage and Felafel, all outstanding, particularly the Kibbeh and Moutabal which was the best we’ve had since visiting Syria a couple of years ago. The Lebanese wine was also very good and the staff were happy to provide recommendations from their wide range. While not exactly dirt cheap its still very reasonable and a great place to take friends to graze on Mezze over an evening.

I came here on a Friday night with a large group of 10 people and were seated downstairs where the tables and seats can be easily arranged to accommodate groups of any size. The place is well decorated with lots of colours and fabrics (presumably in an authentic Lebanese way but I am no expert!).
The seating along the edge of the walls were built-​in sofas which, to be honest, had a bit of a funny, musty smell to them if you leaned backward. But since you have to lean forward to eat (as the tables are at a rather awkward height) it wasn’t too much of a problem.
The food itself was good, and the best part (on that Friday evening anyway) was the belly dancer who came by halfway through our meal and gave the audience a performance. She had quite a mesmerizing body, to say the least. I didn’t know you can do that with boobs, let’s just put it that way! She also picked out members of the audience to dance with her which led to many giggles and laughter.
Overall, it’s a good place for a gathering of friends for food, drinks, and a bit of entertainment!

Happened upon this place the other night. The food was OK just but the service? Non-​existent. We were given the wrong starter and when my girlfriend pointed this out, the astonishingly rude waitress argued with her that it wasn’t wrong. My GF had to ask to see the menu again to point out what she ordered. The plate was removed with a harumph and a shrug and replaced with the correct dish without a word of apology. Nor any word at all. Upon paying the bill I subtracted the laughable 12.5% service charge, left cash on the table and we took our leave. The waitress came running after us on Greek Street, waving the bill and the cash, shouting at us like we were criminals. I explained that I did not pay the service charge, at which I was given a loud ‘Shame on you, sir!’ Ah well, at least she called me ‘Sir’ that time.

It may or may not have been unfortunate that I was late to the party. The waiter was very accommodating in allowing me to jam a stool into a crowded party of 12 in what was probably a fire hazard situation. granted, they’re low middle eastern stools, so I suppose you could always vault over them in a pinch. My fellow diners were already past their appetizers, which was too bad, since I enjoy lebanese starters, but I sneaked my main meal order into the mix and they did a very good job of pounding it out to coincide with everyone else’s food.
Coming from having played sports, I was a tad dehydrated, and the two quickly consumed watery lager beers did not do enough to make me enjoy my main, unfortunately. My lamb schwarma was gristly and tough to chew, and the garlic sauce was more the consistency of tooth paste. The chili sauce was equally odd, and my side of rocket salad was rather plain. I ate it all, lumps of sinew and all, because I was hungry gosh darnit, but I really can’t say I had a better meal than any late night doner kebab joint might provide for 4 quid less.
At this point before the bill came I did try to sway the group into a dessert round of baklava but it just wasn’t going to happen. So it is a little sad my food experience sits on just one dish, but thems the breaks. Cute little place though, there is an ambiance here that Fried Chicken Kebab Dive numerotoomany on your local high street won’t.

I walked in the doorway and immediately knew this place was going to deliver. I silently swooned over the décor. Faintly sumptuous and comfortable.
Everything on the menu sounded tasty, and so not to succumb to indecisiveness I took the easy route and ordered a few dishes off of the mezze selection– hoummos, warak inab and fatayer. To complete the feast, baklawa and freshly prepared unsweetened apple juice was on order.
The prices were very reasonable and the portions perfect.
The owner was congenial and the other server was more interested in standing outside and talking with friends than working.
However, the chefs must’ve been having a bad night– everything I ordered from the mezze section was slightly over oiled and it robbed my taste buds of what should’ve been a glorious meal. The hoummos was separating, the (filo?) pastry on the fatayer was faintly chewy rather than crisp and the amount of lemon juice in the stuffed vine leaves was perhaps too generous.
Don’t get me wrong– nothing was ruined, but it did overshadow the rest of the flavours.
The baklawa however, was near perfect.
Kaslik automatically adds on a 12% service charge to the bill, which I disagree with, especially when the check is presented on a small silver platter in hope of collecting more money!
Nice place all in all, but, with so many other options around, I won’t hurry back.

So when I came in here, looking for a party of 8 that I was to join, I took one look at the interior and was like, «Oh S%*t. This is going to be terrible». The inside is very small and although the furnishings and pillows are nice, the ceiling comprises a bunch of sheer fabric staple gunned in. I think we were initially served by the guy who owns it and he is a very nervous man with a mustache and an ill fitting suit who fretted about how we were going to have 8 people fit and was semi rude about it. My expectations were low, dear reader. Very low.
And then the food arrived and it was AMAZING! I’m not going to lie, I’ve had better Lebanese, but this was pretty damned good. It more than made up for the chronically nervous man. We were with a group of vegetarians and although there aren’t a lot of veggie options, the few vegetarian platters were excellent. I had several mezzes as a meal and it was great.
Then (then!) since we were there on a Saturday, there was a very nice belly dancing young lady who shook her thing for about 30 minutes. We had watched her argue with nervous man for about 20 minutes when we first arrived. Apparently she wanted to play new wave belly dancing and he wanted traditional stuff. Whatever, I think she won and she was really good. See pictures. Also word of advice, do not mess around with your blackberry while someone is belly dancing. Its a good way to get a revenge hipsocket or a belly button straight in the eye.

This place does Lebanese food in the most amazing and authentic way. I have been there a few times, and always walked out feeling more than content with the food.
The place is decorated in the most incredible way. The red lighting really creates a beautiful vibe, which is good because red lighting can create many different moods, not always good. The silver tray tables make you feel really special without being the least bit tacky.
As far as the food goes, I really recommend the Mezze as I am a firm believer that variety is the spice of life.
