I was on my way to the gym when a heavy attack of pollen made me feel really nauseous. I ducked in here before I collapsed, hoping for a smoothie or something to soothe myself! They only had fresh juices but I was ok with that and ordered a watermelon/​strawberry/​mint juice. It was cool and refreshing, and I could taste the melon really nicely, (though not the other ingredients). It felt like a real sanctuary for a moment and I managed to skim read the whole of Psychologies magazine while I came down from my attack — thanks Joe’s!

Nice enough breakfast, friendly staff — very odd practice however of adding a ‘cover charge ’ to the bill — over and above food and service charge. When asked I was told its head office policy — rental charge for table cloths and cutlery!. Never seen this odd practice before — the manager conceded that he is forced to face angry customers daily on this issue — be warned

Eclectic mix of suits and floaty dressses. bankers and marketing managers. I never sat in the restaurant area and found the bar to be too interesting to move.
Friendly people all up for a chat and the bar staff is extremely helpful and attentive.
