An interesting twist to Korean food.
We ordered:
Sae woo pops
Ya xgae mandoo
Korean fried tofu burger
Kimchee fried rice
Overall, pricey but enjoyable. There was a lot I wanted to order but this was my second dinner. I kept stopping by other joints on my way here; I wish I didn’t so I could have ordered more! The menu is very interesting. I recommend coming on an empty stomach.
The staff wasn’t very attentive; it took forever to get their attention.

Dining at Jinjuu on Kingly Street next to Carnaby Street. Korean food with a western twist. The food is good, perfectly spicy enough for me. In the photo is the Thinly-​sliced Pork Belly Bibimbap. Also had sae woo seafood lollipops, fried chicken, beef dumplings, kimchi fried rice. The highlight for me was the delicious Aloe Vera Cha (tea). The music is good here, and the service too. Overall, a pleasant meal
Next time I’ll choose a different Korean restaurant to get the more authentic experience and taste.
Jinjuu recommended me a discount upon arrival do I did get a £10 discount here by using the Velocity IOS app. Ended up paying £60 for 2 people who walked away stuffed and feeling good.

A spin on Korean food!
If you are looking for cheap traditional Korean food then go to bibimbap or bibigo.
However, if you re into a westernised twist on Korean cuisine this is your spot. Mind that the service is very slow but staff is very nice not that it makes up for the slowness.
The food was well seasoned and presented.
I adored the beef tartare with Asian pear.
The japchae was good but not enough noodle for the price.
My friend had the bibimbap and thought it was too much rice versus meat and veggies. I didnt taste it.
The desserts were hit and miss too.
I had the makgeolli and white chocolate panacotta with mango compote, passion fruit and yuja jelly and lychee sorbet. it was an absolute delight, a must order.
My friend had the Korean Mocha.
This was too heavy in chocolate and the texture of the dessert was too dense, I would not recommend it.
Finally the drinks
The cocktails are really good and unusual.
I would recommend the bird is the word as a pre-​dinner drink and the white rice negroni as a post-​dinner drink.
Overall, I would comeback but mostlikely for drinks and sharing some anju dishes

YES. Yes. Yes. Yes. Finally! Jin Juu, you have been in my list for oh so long and wow was it worth the wait! I had tried to book a table for 2 online but they said they were fully booked, I thought sod it, I’m going anyway — I will get a table. My friend and I arrived around 7 o’clock and we were seated straight away (mini fist pump) and right by the open window — it was a lovely evening. We were very happy.
The waiter greeted us immediately with a welcoming smile and some fresh water. As my friend and I hadn’t seen each other for a while we were mattering away for a while — the waiter came over a couple of times to ask for our order which wasn’t a problem and we eventually made a decision and ordered. I have to say that throughout the evening the waiting staff were very friendly and attentive and it was an overall lovely experience — even when it was becoming a little cold, they quickly whacked on the heaters and made sure we were comfortable!
Now to the food, it’s advertised as Korean street food — if they are selling this on the streets inoh the food. For starters we ordered the mandoo dumplings (beef and pork) and the Kimchi Arancini — the food came at a good speed and was presented beautifully.
The dumplings were mouth-​wateringly wonderful — truly meaty in the centre and wrapped in a tasty and slippery casing. Quite difficult to eat with the mental chop sticks but I got there. Scrumptious. The kimchi balls too were amazing. A soft rice and cheesy centre and coated in bread crumbs — just delicious bites of goodness.
Next, the mains. We both opted for the Jap Chae (sweet potatoe noodles) — I had prawns and my friend had the beef. The food once again was presented beautifully and served with fresh veg. The prawns were cooked beautifully and there were LOTS of them. I also tried the beef and it was tender and very flavoursome. The noodles too were delicious and you tasted the freshness in every mouthful!
What a meal and what an experience! Truly fantastic and I will be back to try more of their delicious menu!

I don’t think I will come again to this place.
1. The food is just normal Korean food with a bit better look…
2. The price is too much and I don’t get why I’m paying 3 times more for the same Korean food…
3. The staters are messy and the fried chicken is really dry and hard… The beef is like rubber…
4. The Korean food is just not Korean at all… It doesn’t take you anywhere close to Korea… But like some western people tried really hard to make Korean…
5. The service is poor in quality, they are wondering and looked very busy… Everyone is all of the place, but just don’t serve and got get you the bill when we need to go…

Nom, nom. It’s Korean fusion trendy style. Loved the sliders!!! Definitely get and the shrimp pops.
Great ambience in there and pretty spacious. It was kid friendly as well with the waiter giving our little kid chopsticks! How sweet!
Oh yea, don’t forget to get the braised ribs. Done perfectly!

A mediocre experience at one of Kingly court’s premier Korean establishments. Tatler magazine rated the place as one of the top places to eat in soho, and I’d have to disagree. I think the ambiance was definitely top notch, since we had an open window seat on a warm evening. My friend visiting from abroad enjoyed Soho, and we had a nice dinner. I just think the hype and definitely price didn’t live up to its name for me. I’m a big fan of a fair deal, and sadly I feel that JinJuu just didn’t deliver top notch food for its pricey menu. The drinks were all right (and strong!) but definitely not worth the price. £11 cocktails is a stretch even in London. We eat a lot of Korean food in Hawaii, but I felt that this joint just didn’t live up to my expectations. I think I just wanted a little less glam and a little more Korean oomph and goodness! Definitely a good place for a flashy night with friends though.

I was in town for work and wanted to eat something that reminded me of LA Korean food. I didn’t mind the fact them at this place is fusion. Totally catered to the modern person who knows that authentic Korean isn’t always an option. I honestly don’t know what the standard is here in London. I’m not trying to come across pretentious either. Just I like what I like and I dismiss the things that I don’t.
What I do recommend is the bibimbop, tuna taco & cod saam. The dumplings are so so, the raw beef is mediocre, kimchi fried rice was too buttery for me.
It’s ok. I really like the ambience and the staff is super attentive and sweet. If you’re looking for fusion, this is it.

What a really fun night! We had planned to grab drinks elsewhere before our reservation but when I looked at the menu we made a change to try the bar here. GOOD DECISION! Not only were the drinks really really good we had quality banter with the bartender. Once seated we enjoyed a number of the small plates and tacos all of which were excellent we also had beef skewers and the chicken sliders that were fantastic. A very interesting wine list (we had a Portuguese red and some kiwi white) rounded out an excellent evening. One thing to consider is that as the night goes on the music gets louder and louder. By the end of the evening we were pretty much shouting. Not a problem for our group but something to remember.

I went with a group of friends and we shared several of their small dishes. There was a good range of options and everything came out perfectly cooked. The beef tacos and chips were particularly good. So why only 4 stars? The food whilst good wasn’t amazing and seemed expensive considering what we got. Also the service was slow and staff unfriendly. All in all though I’d be happy to go back.

Finally ventured into this delectable place for my birthday lunch two weeks ago. My google maps took me the long way round, but it’s just off regents street If you’re not too sure.
Lucky I booked a table, as it was relatively packed for a Sunday! Sat downstairs in the main dining area, facing the kitchen, and on top of the hooded fan, they have a lovely quote board. The walls are all designed to fit the Korean theme and jinjuu itself which means «Pearl» it has a clean, modern layout, with table booths and normal comfy seating. Been following on instagram for a while now, and the food looks tantalising.
I ordered the kong bowl — so morish, yummy, and not too spicy, just the right amount. Very generous with the portion too. I loved the Sae-​who pops, they reminded me of my cake pops. They were so good, my favourite. Of course when you’re at jinjuu you have to order the kfc — Korean fried chicken, I went for the thighs and they were served with two cute little sauce bottles, dark soya and gochujang red chilli. OMG seriously!!! The best fried chicken I’ve ever had, undoubtedly the bestest! I’d go back just for that. Also ordered the ya-​chae mandoo — vegetable dumplings and wow, such cute presentation! Served in its own canapé spoon with the sauce and all you do it dip the spoon into the sauce and eat it in one bite! The best Korean food in London by far!!! Judy Joo I love you!!! I wanted to stay for mains but my tummy was at the brink!
Service was exceptional, everything was explained and also what drinks to match the dish too. Cutlery on the table was so neat, the gold chopsticks and soup spoon, attention to detail! The bar staff themselves are very polite!
I am returning very soon and looking forward to checking out the HK branch too
I’d highly recommend this as one of my top 5 spots in London!!! Also the cocktails are exceptionally yummy! :)

Another fantastic meal at Jin Juu! A friend and I popped in on a busy Friday night just before 8 and were lucky enough to get a seat inside (there were a few damp cold tables outside).
We just wanted a quick bite so went for 3 sharing dishes and a glass of wine each. The food is served as it is ready so first up were the chicken sliders. They are amaaaazing! A must try. Next were the carnitas fries that I had raved about from my last visit. They were good but definitely not as good as last time — less toppings and not piping hot. Our third dish was beef dumplings — unfortunately these took nearly 30 mins to come following the rest of the food. After all that I didn’t think they were anything special but my friend thought it was worth the wait — a complimentary glass of wine each and a sincere apology made up for it :)
The food and waiting staff always impress me and they were so busy I can see how slip ups happen in the kitchen.
I’ll be back!

Food was excellent, service patchy and the building alarm went off about 6 times. Manager came over after about the 5 time it had gone off (was very uncomfortable noise) to apologise for the noise and asked if he could get us anything, me said «that would be fabulous thank you and asked for a bottle of Resling.. £29.50. Thought it was free but it got added to the bill. Staff English not great, but they are very attentive.
Would go back again.

One of my favourite restaurants in London and highly recommended.
I get a craving to return monthly and that hasn’t worn off after 4 visits. The menu has loads of great things to try and I wouldn’t sway you away from anything, but I do have some favourites. There are quite a few, so go with friends, share and enjoy!
The Sae-​Woo Pops-​GREAT
The Carnitas Fries-​AMAZING-​imagine amazing nachos, but instead of crisps it’s chips-​Perfect!
Tacos-​GREAT
Bulgogi Burgers-​AMAZING-​Some of the best sliders I have had anywhere
Korean Fried Chicken-​GREAT-​Their speciality, but not my favourite dish
Add in another portion of tacos and Sliders and the above would feed 2 easily, I always go for some Prawn Crackers as well!
Drinks wise, they have a great cocktail menu… the K-​Pop Pornstar is my favourite.
Top 3 tips for this place–
1.Book if your going in the evening-​it gets busy
2.Orders lots of the smaller plates and try as much as you can
3.Give their cocktails a try, they are well worth it

I went to Jinjuu on the recommendation of a work friend and I was glad that I followed his advice! The only thing he said was ‘try the tacos’ so this was just one of the many dishes my friends and I tried that night.
The beef tacos, the carnitas fries and the bibimbap bowls were all delicious and are highly recommended. We also tried to the tempura vegetable plate which was also really good. The tofu was the best I’d ever tasted but the batter was a little heavy for my taste. The only thing we ordered that I wasn’t that fond of was the g-​something bombs. Essentially, a jalapeño with meat and cheese inside. I didn’t find the filling that full or flavorful and again, the batter was a bit heavy for my taste.
On the whole we had an excellent time and I’d highly recommend the cocktails too. The servers were friendly and attentive which is unusual for a ‘cool’ establishment.

Amazing place to try once in your life! When booking a table, I didn’t find availability online, but managed to reserve a table over the phone for the following day. The place looks great from the outside, but when being seated, there is not much room to slide between tables. but once seated, its very comfortable.
The cocktail menu is interesting. I had the k-​pop pornstar & Lychee lover. The food is presented very well. My favorites are the carnitas fries, sae-​woo pops and bibimbap bowl.
The Carnitas fries are very spicy. The bibimbap bowl has a lot going on and is filling if you are hungry.
The only real negative is that I found it very noisy, so was hard for me to concentrate on listening to my friends conversations.

One of my friends wanted to go there so badly after all the review she had hear so spending some time in London, we book a table for a girls catch up at Jinjuu.
First impression when I enter the place: how the waiter can serve you there? There is hardly space between the table. Anyway, we had a small table at the corner so best place if you don’t want to be disturb to much with the passage way.
We decided to go for starter to share so we had the same woo prawn: excellent, the carnitas fries: really chilli and really good, the small /​cute tiny burger: beef and chicken, excellent, chicken wings: the sauce on it was really and vegetable dumpling: so nice. We were 3 and really hungry. It was fine to share starters but the portions of the starter were smalls and the cost was high so not really cool and had to go for more or something else. So if you are really hungry one of 2 starters and then go for a main.
As Said, my friend was still hungry so she ordered a bibimbab with beef, I have tried it, it was really good.
Finally and that was actually what I should have start with: the cocktails! Lots of choice, original Taste and really well done. Forget about the normal wine and try one the their cocktails you won’t be disappointed.
So in conclusion it’s a nice place, the food and drinks are good but the price is way too high for Korean food which is not exceptional! We end up with a bill of £105 for only 3 people and they even ask for £13 service charge on top, way too much!
So nice but too expensive.

Could Korean food be the next hot food trend in London? Although there are already well established hot spots like New Malden, chains like Kimchee and OntheBap are bringing fast Korean food to the masses
I had seen Jinjuu chef Judy Joo on the Food Network and decided to give them a try as I’m a big fan of fried chicken and am still looking for someone in London to match Bonchon in San Francisco
Jinjuu had a very trendy, hip vibe despite me visiting at lunchtime and service was efficient throughout. I was seated downstairs and able to watch the chefs at work
I spied an interesting £45 tasting menu but that had to wait for another day as I wasn’t in a mood to splurge that day. However, I did pick 2 dishes off that menu — sae-​woo pops and Korean fried chicken thighs
The sae-​woo pops were 5 deep fried prawn cakes, which arrived on sticks, served with a side of creamy gochujang mayo for dipping. For those unfamiliar with Korean food, gochujang is Korean hot sauce and a staple of Korean food and cooking. Nice and crispy but the mayo reflected one weakness of Korean food for me — their hot food tends to be hot without much other flavouring to round it out, so you just get heat
A bonus mark for using thighs in the fried chicken. So much more juicy. The chicken was crispy and served with pickled white radish on the side to give some contrast
An enjoyable meal and that tasting menu is interesting enough for a return visit but my top fried chicken is still at the Lockhart in Marble Arch

It’s a hip cool K-​pop kinda place. With pretty girls having dinners and fancy cocktails. Food is alright, nothin special or type that will make you wanna come again.
The most disappointing part is that I’ve been sitting here for 40 minutes and haven’t a seen any of ordered dishes. And they kept bringing food for my date but not me which is kinda weird and wrong.
Nice service okay food (cause I tried some from my date’s plate) but NEVER COMING BACK AGAIN.

I’m just speaking about the cocktails here, as I left food for another time (it’s difficult to think about eating here when you have pilgrims two doors after down on the road!)
On a nice sunday afternoon, my lady and I were looking for a place where to spend an hour or so without being in a pub, waiting for our stomach to prepare for an amazing pizza. And my lovely Unilocal app gave me the address of this place, which we promptly tried! and we were satisfied with our choice.
The menu is ranging over 3 – 4 pages of soju-​based drinks (for anybody wondering, soju is a classical korean alcoholic, comparable to a «rice vodka»), some wines (short selection actually I was expecting a bit more!) and few classical cocktails. But my suggestion is definitely to go for a soju cocktail, this is one of the few places in London serving them and you want to check them out! When we ordered our drinks, the waitress nicely suggested us a different cocktail for a «first-​timer soju» and we followed her suggestion, I love whenever a waiter is doing that «extra-​mile» for suggesting something more tailored on yourself!
The cocktail we ordered, K-​POP pornstar (yep, their range of names is pretty awesome!), was a wonderful combination of sweetness from the passion fruit and the bitterness of sparkling soju, something I loved!
We will surely get back here for dinner, if they care about food as much as they do care about drinks we are in presence of something wonderful!
