Jade Garden Chinese Takeaway

We just ordered another take away from here and were pretty amazed by the low standard of food, and also by the reaction of the owner when we called to let them know we were unhappy.
The sweet and sour prawn balls were grey, I mean really dark weird grey. Would you eat that? I certainly couldn’t!
The chips were dry, the duck was overdone and the tofu in black bean sauce was not great.
I called them to let them know we were disappointed — I tried to be really nice about it, but the manager wouldn’t let me speak and just kept telling me that she had run this place for 27 years, and that was the way they did things. She wouldn’t stop even for a second to let me speak. She sent a poor chap back with £5 for the prawn balls, and at least he admitted that it was inedible and actually apologised!
I’d order here at your own risk!

My boyfriend and I ordered lemon chicken, rice, amoung other things from Jade’s. The rice was very soggy and the lemon chicken raw in middle. My boyfriend DID show his face by returning the meal and asked for our money back but was met with so much abuse from the owner, son and chef that my boyfriend had to call the police. They took sympathy but adviced it a civil matter. We had no meal, no money back. We will never return back there. Others avoid.

Honest, decent, local delivery. Food always well cooked and Mai and her family are a treasure. Been going a long time now — which says a lot in the economic climate of late

Every single Friday my family order from here We get it delivered to our area which is a bit further (Park Langley) & the food to so lovely!
Friendly and fast service We ordered a 9 item order & they told us it’ll be half an hour but it was delivered within 20mins!

This isn’t a bad Chinese takeaway. The food here is better than some. It’s Hong Kong style so some of the dishes are in danger of tasting very similar to each other. They are pretty quick and very cheap. They do a nice veggie dish with tofu.
