I like Itsu. It’s not my favourite, but they have some nice stuff on offer and they recently added some nice veggie salads. Also the service is always quick. This is a very small branch near Hanover Square with only four seats inside. Strangely enough they have an extra cashier standing outside. That’s maybe OK in the summer, but they must be freezing their … toes off in the winter. also has a few benches outside, which is a real treat in the summer as its far enough away from the curb that one can actually enjoy a conversation without traffic fumes.

Good concept and I think it would do incredibly well on the East Coast in the U.S.(e.g., in New York and Boston). Everything was good, but nothing remarkable. The food was good, fast, and relatively affordable.

Chic location next to Vogue House, and a perfect pit-stop for taking a picnic lunch into Hanover Sqaure. In my opinion there is far too much raw fish in the sushi offering, making it lack the broad consumer appeal of Yo Sushi. The soups have never been that enticing, but at under £5 they’re well priced. Great frozen yogurt and snacks though especially the yogurt covered rice cakes.

It was my first time visiting Itsu so as a hardcore sushi junkie I was expecting a little conveyor belt somewhere but to my disappointment there is none. Their sushi’s are prepackaged and stocked on a display counter by the left hand side. You’re not really waited on as they have a counter where you have to pay or order hot food. I was blown away by the neon walls and décor. They have little table booths on the right hand side and a dining area at the back. Quality of the food is so so and it’s a little pricey. Would I go back? Nah. I’d recommend this place for those who fancy a quick light lunch.

There is an ever-growing number of this small sushi chain in London but this one is my favourite because of its location, just at the bottom of Vogue House, Conde Naste London’s HQ. Sushi is obviously the perfect fashion magazine work lunch fodder and it’s great to sit and spy on the outfits as they saunter past to get their low cal sashimi and miso soup take aways. However, I will happily visit any branch of this chain(except the Piccadilly one because of vague memories of GCSE Physics teaching on radioactive half life) because the sushi is absolutely delicious, fresh and good value for money, you can get exactly the right amount full on around £6 although it may cost you more to get totally stuffed. The only niggle I have with this particular branch is the lack of indoor seating, leaving lunchers with no choice than to huddle under not very eco gas heaters in winter.

my mate recommended Itsu to me so i thought, hay why not lets give it a try, i did not really fancy sushi so i went for the hot soup option for about £5 and was very disappointed. The majority of the soup was water with a few bits of duck and a couple of noodles. it defiantly was not worth the price i paid for it. I also had a SMALL chocolate mousse thing which when i say small i mean it, it was so small it was pointless and at a high price It also left me feeling hungry afterwards so i had to get something else on they way back to the office.

I love going to this Itsu for lunch, I only wish it was bigger and had more seats. I went there today and had the salmon supreme which was really filling. In the winter, I tend to go for the hot noodles in soups which I really love in the cold weather and it tastes so good and it’s good for you. My favourite is the chicken teriyaki. They’ve recently launched a couple more flavours to the hot noodle collection, which I’m sure I’ll be trying. It is a little pricey for lunch but def worth the treat when you do go because the quality of the food is excellent. The pretty boxes the sushi and sashimi comes in are really nice, very graphic looking and they print the amount of calories on each meal on the box.

For sushi aficionados I’m not sure it gets much better than Itsu. OK, maybe Nobu would be better but lets not split proverbial hairs. Anyway, back to the point. Itsu is marvellous. A neon lit emporium of sushi also serving beautiful miso soup and hearty noodle dishes to eat in or take away in a variety of London locations. Some of you may know Itsu as the site of the poisoning of Russian agitator Alexander Litvinenko, but with its slogan being ‘Health and Happiness’ I wouldn’t hold this against it. Itsu serves quite simply some of the best sushi in London at incredibly reasonable prices.
