Honest Burgers

I really love this place! It’s been the second time O came here and I am still in love with the whole concept! The place is small, bit newly renovated with dark green walls, beautiful big windows and really cute wooden tables.
The menu is simple and to the point: bugers and beer. No dessert, nothing fancy but honest. But the quality of the food is excellent. I had the veggie burger and it was simply fantastic. Normally veggie burgers tend to be super borring, dry and mealy bit this one is so tasty and I can totally recommend it. The fried are nice too, with the right amount of salt and rosmarin.
Great place of an honest, simple, tasty meal! I will be back for sure!

Man, what’s happening to Honest Burger.
This is the newest one and it’s fine, but it used to be exceptional. We came and had the special, the tribute to bacon, which was filled with bacon but was a tiny burger. They used to serve real sized burger and now, a little dinky thing. Hmmm.
And the rosemary chips used to be so good and cooked so well and so full of flavour and now they’re just kind of boring.
I think that’s my issue with Honest. They used to be great and now everything they do is kind of boring. Ah well.

Hyper fan de ce restaurant spécial burger ! L’endroit est sympa, assez grand et lumineux (sauf le soir, peu d’éclairage) et l’accueil est toujours super agréable.
Produits de qualité issus de fournisseurs locaux, carte réduite au strict minimum, pas de chichi, que du bon. Vous avez de base votre pain (moelleux ET croustillant) et votre garniture: salade, pickles, sauce… Et ensuite vous devez choisir votre ingrédient principal: poulet, boeuf ou légumes. Votre Beef Burger peut aussi venir avec du fromage et/​ou du bacon fumé (oh my… à mourir).
Mais le meilleur choix possible, c’est les spéciaux ! J’y étais pour le spécial Noël et je n’ai pas été déçue ! Du boeuf saignant (cuisson parfaite), du brie frit, de la sauce aux cranberries (canneberge) et de la roquette. Magnifique. Et c’est sans parler des super frites au romarin, crousti-​fondantes à souhait. Bref, un pur bonheur à partager avec tout le monde.

Going back to Honest Burgers after almost two years, I was curious to see what the menu looks like now. It seems not much has changed, the menu is simple and straightforward with a few burgers on offer and a few sides to choose from.
I decided to go for the Tribute burger with chips and it did not disappoint. While the bun was a bit oily at the top to start with the burger was tasty and I really enjoyed it.
I have to say though, just like the last time I went, the chips are the star of the meal. They are Rosemary flavoured and crunchy and if I were to choose between them and the burger I would definitely pick the chips hands down.

I have reviewed here before but just wanted to add a additional note as I gave their Christmas burger a whirl last night!
Their Christmas special is burger, bacon, baked brie and cranberry sauce and it JUST WORKS. The burger was cooked beautifully and the cranberry sauce really complimented the rest of the fillings, in particular the brie — nom!
Really enjoyed our night here and will always return to Honest Burger for that much needed burger experience.

Oh my god! I don’t know where to begin with how much I love honest. This branch is the newest one and fast becoming one of my favourites. The staff are super friendly and there is plenty of seating space.
Food wise, I ordered the chicken burger and it was simply amazing! Oh my! Grilled to perfection and complete led perfectly with a brioche bun and rosemary salted fries! Naughty but oh so nice! Totally in a food coma now! All for 9 pounds. I must be dreaming!
I went with a group of fellow Unilocalers and I have to say the service was brilliant. Water was free flowing and we couldn’t have felt any more welcome! I’m already planning my next visit!

Hut ab vor Honest Burgers. Ohne Reservierung und trotz einer großer Gruppe haben wir einen Top Service bekommen. Es ging zack zack, die Burger waren super, vor allem die Honest Burger mit Chutney. Ein besonderes Lob geht auf die Pommes, die dank Kräutern nicht nur besser geschmeckt haben, sondern auch gesünder wirkten (geht so was überhaupt bei Pommes?) Wer die Honest Burgers nicht probiert hat, sollte es ganz schnell gutmachen!

Burger time in London! I like! Honest Burger ist ein cooler Burgerladen mit Bedienung. Die Speisekarte ist klein gehalten, man kann wählen zwischen Huhn, Rind und vegetarischen Burger, in jeder der drei Kategorie werden drei verschiedene Gerichte angeboten. Auch Chicken Wings und Salat gibt es beispielsweise. Zu jedem Burger gibt es hausgemachte Rosmarin-​Pommes. Ich hatte den klassischen Rindburger, für 8,50 Pfund ein guter Preis für London. Gekocht & gegrillt wird direkt in einer offenen Küche, d.h. man kann der Entstehung seines Burgers zusehen. Der Burger hat mir wirklich gut geschmeckt, das Fleisch ist frisch und zart. Das Brot war frisch und ist auch nicht auseinandergefallen. Riesen Gruppen finden im Honest Burger nicht Platz, also wenn ihr mit ein paar Leuten mehr kommt auch besser reservieren. Einen Stern Abzug gebe ich, weil mir ein wenig das Außergewöhnliche fehlt oder ich es vielleicht nicht direkt gesehen habe. Folglich: Ich werde wieder kommen :)

Ganz ehrlich — einer der ehrlichsten «most honest» Burger die ich kenne.
Das Ding war bitz sauber medium, fast noch ein wenig drunter. Mehr rosa geht nicht. Rosa ist meine neue Lieblingsfarbe (wenn es um Burger geht).
Pommes sind super lecker, alle frisch. Gefühl gerade aus dem Vorort von London, kurz geschnitten und ab auf den Teller. Mit Schale einfach immer wieder der Bringer!
Der Burger war mit Zwiebelringe und ausreichend Fleisch. Das Brot war auch selbstgemacht und so stabil, dass man ohne Probleme auch mit den Händen ohne Sauerei essen konnte.
Dazu ein leckeres Craft Beer und gemütlich einen Fensterplatz schnappen und der Abend ist gerettet!

Tout à fait honnête, cet Honest Burgers, il faut bien le dire (ah-​ah) ! A deux pas de notre hôtel, c’était le spot parfait pour un dîner semi-​improvisé, et j’ai apprécié la capacité du service à nous trouver de la place pour un groupe de 15, tout de même !
Mon burger «Honest» était bien cuit, le pain était bon, les pickles en nombre… rien à redire ! J’ai trouvé les frites bonnes mais un peu trop salées et j’ai eu du mal à les finir, mais si c’était à refaire… j’en reprendrais tout de même ! Service efficace et sympa aussi, donc en résumé: je recommande !

Having a burger place on your hotels doorstep can never be a bad thing but when it is as good as honest burger it can only be described as epic.
I went for the special burger which was topped with onion rings and chillis. The burger was ace but the real star on the plate was the Rosemary seasoned fries. Rosemary and roast potatoes I love but I have never seen fries seasoned in this way. I would 100% recommend trying them!
For the healthier people reading this review I would probably say this is not the place for you but if you want a serious buyer fix and are not counting the calories why not give this place a go.

I’ll be honest (see what I did there ;-)) — this was a bloody good burger experience!
Very simplistic menu design meaning it’s not hard to make a decision, but the quality of the burgers and the overall quality of the ingredients wins out over too many choices.
I really enjoyed my burger with onion rings and some spicy jalapenos inside — it was a mouthful but I got it down in just a few well thought out bites!
Great beer selection too — great to enjoy some Beavertown and Einstok alongside some tasty fodder.

Until this Honest Burgers opened down the street from me a few weeks ago, I’d never been to one! I know, quite unbelievable given their popularity in London and my romance with the tried and true burger. (I’m American, after all).
Well now I can say, Honestly (pun intended) this is a 4-​star burgerspot — and I recommend it. I’ve been in with my toddler (the server was SO nice, brought crayons, wooop!) and a pal, for take away and recently last night with a group of 15 (yes 15!). Without a booking they got us all in and out in an HOUR, everyone very pleased with their meals, drinks and of course, those rosemary chips. (yum, why had no one thought of this before!?)
My go-​to is actually the chicken burger, chips and an Einstok beer (Icelandic beer, FTW). My husband loves the Tribute. My kid loves buns and chips and carbs of all kinds, but hey — not terribly refined (yet).
Great service, solid product, easy menu, quick (fast/​casual) — Honest Burgers, I’ll be a regular.

Honest Burger just opened a store near Old Street tube so I went down for their burger offer this week. When I arrived there was already a short queue hungrily waiting for their free burgers. We weren’t waiting long before we were let in in small batches, in order not to cause chaos and overrun the place.
The venue is quite small possibly seating approximately 30 people maximum, however they do have a takeaway service. The staff were very friendly and seated us at the end of a large table in front of the kitchen. It was good to see how the kitchen operates, especially with cleanliness and hygiene. Luckily everyone there practiced good hygiene. They also have a toilet on site which is handy.
They took our orders just as we sat down. I ordered a standard burger with onions and lemonade with mint drink. The lemonade concoction arrived first and tasted pretty good. All burgers come with generous chips which I was looking forward to. Unfortunately my chips were too salty and I couldn’t eat them. I didn’t mention it to staff as it was a free meal and I probably couldn’t finish a whole fresh batch. The burger was ok, I have to say not as good as the Honest Burger in Tooting I had recently, but not bad. I noticed on the menu board they do wheat free buns, if I’d noticed earlier I would have tried them.
On the whole decent burgers, shame about the chips and friendly, helpful staff. I would say not a bad place to hang out if your hungry.
