We came here for a leisurely lunch and were welcomed at the entrance by friendly staff. They quickly sat us down and were very good at coming back to us. We ordered the avocado on toast with poached egg. It was DELICIOUS. So was the fresh apple juice I got. Lovely atmosphere, great staff and great food. Perfect for a wee brunch!

Went for a steak and fries. I cannot think of the last time I have been to such well ran restaurant operations — no wait but never over bearing… Great service combined with great quality food served in a great setting… And it is quite affordable. Think it is 25−30£ pop with one drink. Really cannot find this kind of place that has all. Everything I had was great — shrimp cocktail, Bavette, sucky toffee pudding — Devine! Shrimp was not too big but quality taste, Bavette with nice charcoal flavours and come with fries and these fries were so yum! Sticky toffee was so great, with rich dark sugar toffee… Really recommend it.

When you think of Soho House I automatically think of a secret club and you need a password to get into the place. I come to the High Road House almost every weekend with my girlfriend. We come here cause we have tried all the brunch venues up the Chiswick high road and we both feel that this is the best place. I do love a a good plate of Eggs Benedick and they have never let me down yet and hopefully will never let me down. This place is also awesome in the summer with the outside seating area. :)

The hotel is lovely but it is really let down by the staff and the terrible service in the brasserie. Breakfast is almost always cold and you will be left sitting there for ages. Several times I have had to walk across the length of the restaurant to get service. Such a pity we have had such a nice place to stay and eat ruined by poor service.

As a not so newly implanted New Yorker turned expat I feel like I’ve been waiting for the place my entire time of one year of living here. I finally found a Sunday brunch menu that didn’t consist of beans(which is really not a breakfast food in my opinion) and black pudding. Not that there is anything wrong with a full English breakfast — which my fiancé had and it looked delicious as well as very affordable at £10.50. But I digress, I must talk about the eggs benedict and a PROPER Bloody Mary. Perfectly poached eggs over perfect salmon, on top of a REAL English muffin(I’m told it was a crumpet) with a beautiful hollandaise sauce. I had been wishing to find my perfect Sunday brunch spot and now I have. My bloody mary was perfectly spiced and actually had vodka in it. If any New Yorker who lives in London knows that actually getting a vodka bite out the tiny measured proportions that are the law here they will definitely appreciate what I’m intimating. Our waiter was very attentive without being overbearing and not once did we feel rushed to eat and leave as is sometimes the feeling I get in some establishments here. I would go on and on about this place but I want to go back and see what dinner is like… and of course sample the other brunch menu items. Because FINALLY I can have a choice of different options other than«please hold the black pudding!»

I completely enjoyed my stay at the High Road House! I was in town for business and it was the most relaxing room I have ever stayed in with their big fluffy white sheets, amazing shower with Cowshed products and an overall peaceful design. I had fun exploring all the neat attributes of the room from the retro clock, the in room snack bar and much more! Not only was I pleased with the room but the staff was very helpful and pleasant and finally, I had a great time in their upstairs restaurant. Although I was was dining alone each day I enjoyed the big comfy leather chairs, the great view from the big windows and the wait staff who was always quick to recommend something to try. Overall, one of the most enjoyable stays I have ever had in London.

High Road House is always busy and is attractively presented. I’ve been twice now but won’t go back. On the first — for Sunday lunch — my roast beef was awful though my companions lamb was fine. Next for sat lunch avtwar or so later(late 2008) mine was fine(though don’t now recall what it was) but my companions was poor value.

High Road House is the Shoreditch and Soho House of Chiswick, a wonderful escape from the outside world where phones must not be used, service is a perfect balance of providing everything that you could want without feeling overwhelmed. This private members club offers calming and intimate dining areas, games rooms, relaxing lounges as well as hotel rooms, crisp white and beautifully decorated. With an abundance of Cowshed products in every bathroom and toilet, a restaurant serving unfussy, beautiful quality food it is easy to get hooked on this quality of life. If you can afford to be a member then do it, if not then find the right circles to socialise in and enjoy being the guest of wealthy acquaintances.

You would never believe what lies behind the unassuming entrance of this luxury boutique hotel. But saying that this place was designed and created by the guys behind Soho House and Babington House, so you definitely get all the luxury that you expect. It only has fourteen bedrooms which are on the small side but perfectly formed. The rooms have been designed as upscale attic rooms all of them have Sky, super large double beds and white shaker style interiors but with a stylish twist. Bathrooms have old fashioned wash stands and free standing baths. However I have stayed in one of their rooms before, which only had a shower room, but it was a great shower with one of those old fashion dinner plate size shower heads. All the products in the bathrooms are Cowshed, and unlike most hotels they are not stingy on the amount they give you — it’s like product overload — fabulous if you are like me and a complete product junkie. Don’t forget to check out the bathroom and bedside table draws, snack/goodies galore! Upstairs, you have the club’s dining room, cocktail bar and meeting areas. The style is more lux than the bedrooms in this area, lots of black and different green colours with super plush fabrics and furnishings. The cocktails are fantastic, so this is a great place to start the evening before hitting the town. The basement area is in sections — the play pen(with a pool table and table football) a bed area for chilling out, a service bar and a screening area complete with a state-of-the-art flat screen.
