Harlequins Rugby League

The quins are the best team in the premiership. Backed up by a great stadium and passionate fans. With ample parking as great transport links and the quins style of play it makes it east to support.

never been to a rugby game, but my boyfriend got some free tickets from the evening standard paper to go and see the quinns v castleford.
i thought it was a bit funny having a game on Friday evening, but the atmosphere was amazing .
unlike a football match– half the crowd where woman and with a navy /​army game just before the main event, fairly good family support.
took me the first half to understand the basic rules, but didn’t miss much but the 2^nd half came alive. (right down to the last kick) 16 each
plenty of drink and fast food available… very enjoyed the evening.

If you want to have a day of pure rugby glory with a amazing atmoshere then i suggest coming to the stoop to watch the harlequins. Even if your not a great rugby fan the bars inside and mobile beer sellers will ensure you have a great day. Make sure to check out the live bands after the match a must see.

Just realised Quins RFC don’t get a mention, but the RL team do, which considering the came along 3 years ago is a little strange.
Harlequins are now the only true Premiership rugby team in London, Wasps, Saracens, and London Irish have all moved outside to ground sharing arrangements with football clubs.
Quins are long established, and used to play ‘across the road’, at is what is now English rugby HQ.
Quins for many years had a reputation as a team of dandys, backed by city slickers, with no real team spirit.
But things are not like that now, the ground has been rebuilt over the last 10 years to pretty high standard and with a great atmosphere, from a fan base from across the south east and social spectrum.
I’ve had a season ticket for 5 years, including the year we went down a division and subsequently rebuilt the team and it’s spirit.
I know I’m biased and the results are going pretty well at the moment, but it’s a great place to go, including with the family.
Only realistic reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is parking, get to the area early, and service at the bars can be slow, seek out the semi secret ‘Quin’s Head’.

If Qypers ar looking for an Xmas event, Quins have a special day on Dec. 27^th, at the Twickenham Stadium, for a match against Leicester, hoping for 40 – 50,000 people, as thgere are very heap ticket deals, a really ood family xmas outing, and it’s not the dreaded SALES!

Avin a day at rugby is the best thing ever it is very cheap and its an amazin atmosphere all the fans (even the away fans) all mingle together before and after the game to av a beer, there is plenty of fun things to do on match day for all ages there are nicely priced beers and food vans.

To many people in the Greater London area, Rugby League is considered a Northern Sport, watched by men with Flat Caps and Whippets.
In reality, Harlequins Rugby League are one of only two top class RL teams outside the M62 corridor, with the other team being based in Southern France.
If you are bored of the antics of over paid prima dona soccer stars, or sick of trying to get a ticket to watch England play Union at Twickenham, you could do a lot worse than pop down to the Twickenham Stoop during the summer to watch the Quins RL play. Fantastic entertainment, live band after the game and great company. all for just a tenner.
