I couldn’t really find fault with the service here, I think knowing Chinese helps as you can query the staff as much as you like what in the world this bubble tea place is all about? I am still confused. The branding is pretty, the store is attractive. They even have the happy lemon mascot outside(doll not a real person walking around) and even a strobe light shining the Happy Lemon logo onto the floor immediately in front of the shop. Such amazing gadgetry to bring in clientele, which really does work as it’s pretty much stealing a lot of the customers away from the bubble tea place immediately next door. What I don’t get are the drinks. Yes it’s lemon based but most of them are not suitable with bubble tea maybe, and it’s a lot more sour than you would expect for a drink which is usually pretty sugary. They have very outrageous flavour choices and combinations so be prepared for a hit and miss drink when you order anything here. You might get lucky, but more often than not you might not get a drink that you would really enjoy, unless you are, a happy lemon and LOVES lemon of course.

Bubble tea is not all equal… But lemonade is a different story! Loved my frozen lemonade with mango jelly ! Tart, sweet and delicious !!! I can’t speak to their bubble tea, but if you are looking for a refreshing lemonade drink this is THEPLACE! It was super crowded when I was there(which is saying something good) and it was really quick ! I went with cash, as its chargers you unless you spend over £5.

OK. So they tend to run out of half the drinks really early on, much to the disappointment of all the hopeful people who make the extra effort to find this place. And if you’ve never been here before, you’ll probably be completely clueless about what you should order. And the waiters will have trouble making recommendations, often because their English is poor. But who cares. Everything is delicious and will probably blow your mind. If your clueless like I was give the following a try: — the fresh Grapefruit Green Tea if you’re feeling like something zesty and super refreshing. Add lychee jellies for a bubble tea like experience — the matcha smoothies, if you’re looking for a more milkshake/frappuccino feel Love it and keep coming back!

Great bubble tea café very close to Trafalgar Square. The walk to Happy Lemon from the National Gallery delights you with a little introduction to London’s Chinatown. I was greeted with great service and had no wait time. I ventured out from my usual orders at bubble tea cafes and tried one of their promotional drinks. I believe it was the Chocolate with Taro Balls Milk Tea. It was good! The great thing about the location is that you can buy your bubble tea and just wander around Chinatown after. My only reservation is that they charge extra for paying with credit card, but this might be expected from small shops in the area.

To be frank, I was disappointed when I came here. Felt hopeful prior to my visit, since I had tried a drink from another branch in Hong Kong and… well, my visit here didn’t go well. Their service was poor. The two employees that served me both seemed to have a bad day. They had gotten my order wrong and mixed up with another order, which made it take even longer. The quality was nothing worth shaking a stick at. I had an Oreo drink and it tasted mediocre. Most likely won’t be coming back again. You’re better off going to other milk tea places.

Half the drinks were not available. Extremely slow service, long queues. Their card machine was also broken. Just a complete shambles. Go to Cappacha or Chatime instead!
