Sometimes it is worth it turning the corner off the most obvious road and into a side street.
Handford is a lovely little wine merchants with a very good selection of unusual wines, located just off Holland Park Avenue.
They regularly do wine tastings and definitely cater for the more discerning customers — without alienating those who are after some good advice.
UPDATE: this site has now been taken over by an expensive kidswear shop. what a shame!
