Way too many people in that gym. They say you can book for a class at 7am the day before. I have logged in several times at 7.00(not even 7.01 am) and all the classes were full. I am not even talking only for the weekend classes. It’s like that all week. Even in the training area, I havnt been able to find a free machine since December in the evenings Do not go to this Gymbox !

This is my definition of a bad gym. What a bad gym must have? no weights, no machines, tons of cardio, high volume music and stupid people looking around. And that’s what gymbox has. It’s expensive, it’s super fake, and it’s the place to go for girls who want to show off instead of training and for men who want to meet these girls instead of lifting weights. So it’s your choice, if you want to go to a gym, don’t come here, if you are looking for an everyday disco club instead, here this is your place. But please don’t say you go to the gym please. It’s an insult.

My review is based on my interaction with the gym as I consider joining. Having had email exchanges with one of their ‘sales gurus’ I arranged to visit the gym to scope it out and to understand more about the membership options. Appointment arranged I arrived for the meeting I was not greeted with any type of awareness and the person whom I’d arranged to meet was nowhere to be seen. So, some one(not a ‘sales guru’) showed me around. This was pleasant enough but, I couldn’t help be irritated by the fact no one knew about the meeting or prepared for a sales conversation. Gym has some fancy equipment and workout rooms. I feel however that there is a little sense of pretentiousness in that it is expected that you will want to join, no sale required. The lady who filled in provided me with what info she could but I was told she wasn’t sales so couldn’t go through, what I feel is, one of the most important parts of the visit. The gym is downstairs, had gym area, sauna, spinning etc. so no natural light. Back in the daylight u felt disappointed in the customer service shown. A few hours later, I get an email asking if I turned up for the appointment or was going to come by later! Well, the fact that my ‘sales guru’ could not be bothered to check if his booking arrived in order that he may send, perhaps a ‘sorry i missed you’ email, was yet another disappointment. Email exchanges were to follow with the over familiarity tone and wording from Mr ‘sales guru’ to someone not even met in person I found just plain rude and unprofessional. My, I thought, ending the relationship email advising that I felt gym box was not for me and it wasn’t just about the extortionate pricing, was responded to with an email which sounded like he’d taken not 1 but of notice to what I said it, just plain did not care. Another confirmation that I’d not want to invest my time and money into an establishment with such poor self aware customer service.
