Guru Makeup Emporium

I recently visited for some products not knowing roughly but not exactly what I required. I was served by Caroline who was professional, honest and knowledgeable with the SFX products that I have little experience with. Her customer service was commendable, so much so that I ensured my complements extended to the store manager. I left satisfied that I was sold the best bits for my project requirements having experienced fantastic customer service.

There are two Make Up Forever flagship retail stores and more than half a dozen sephora’s, that carry Make Up Forever in their stores, within a relatively reasonable driving distance for me in the Ventura/​LA county area and none had stocked my super matte loose powder in 54 for over 6 months. I called Guru makeup emporium to double check that they actually had the powder in stock and spoke to a very nice SA. I i finally ordered online, after having my sister check at the Canoga Park MUF store on Sept. 25, 2013 one last time, and being told that 54 was out of stock pretty much everywhere west of the Mississippi. I took the plunge and ordered the powder on Sept. 25, 2013 (California time) with regular shipping. I received a notice that my item had shipped on Sept. 26, 2013 and finally today, Mon. Sept. 30, 2013 my order came in, 3 BUSINESS DAYS AFTER MY ONLINE ORDER! From London to California! I am over the moon at their customer service and how quickly my powder got here! This shop is amazing!

One of my favorite makeup brands in the States is Makeup Forever (MUFE), which can be found at any Sephora. I quickly learned that there are no Sephora branches in the UK. Sigh. After searching high and low on the internet (s) for places to buy MUFE in London, I discovered Guru Makeup Emporium. It’s a tiny but well-​stocked shop located on a quaint side street in Fulham. I arrived there on a Saturday a little after 4pm. They close at 4pm on Saturdays. I wanted to cry. To my great surprise, the shop owner reopened the shop and quickly let me pick out what I came to buy! I am completely in love with this place now and I can’t wait to go back again: D
