Warning: this is the first negative hotel review I have ever written and only the second negative review of any kind on Unilocal, but I feel compelled to let others know. I booked through and paid the equivalent of $ 250 per night for a triple. The interior is badly in need of work. The carpet was worn and torn in long strips. Fresh paint was a distant memory. Curtains did not even cover the bedroom windows(2 to 4 inches above the window sill and thin enough to let lights shine through). The toilet flushed when it was in the mood, which was seldom. The beds were lumpy, saggy, extremely creakily loud, and reminiscent of over used summer camp mattresses. There were no amenities unless one counts a few small slivers of soap. To be fair, one night clerk was friendly and affable. The others ranged from disinterested to surly. There is a desperate need for hospitality education. We decided to tough it out and laugh about it while we were there because it is a vacation and other hotels were booked. But I would never recommend it to a friend We are now happily ensconced in a small, well-located Paris hotel that knows how to serve hospitality at a much better price.
