Maitre d’ was a bit surly, but the waiter and server were pleasant and formal. There is a formal air, but we were dressed casual. The food was very good. I had the traditional British roast with Yorkshire pudding. My daughters steak was closer to rare than the medium rare ordered.

Very good steakhouse. Good value for money. One of the most impressive wine cellar in town. Good grilling. Can do Pittsburgh. Warm atmosphere. Would give 4.5 stars. Will return.

We had a great Sunday lunch. The service was excellent from the beginning, we had meat which was excellent and the desserts were amazing. We will come back for sure.

Bening starters, chose asparagus vinetrette which was fine. Followed with a cook 8oz fillet steak, cooked rare as requested, good flavour, and nice texture. Overall fine, nice waitress.

This review was partially written in response to the 2-star vegetarian review above. This is a steak restaurant! If you have specific dietary needs(i.e., vegan, kosher, etc.) maybe call ahead? It does the restaurant a service as well as your dining partners. I ate here last night, early(at 6PM). I had a perfectly cooked 12 ounce sirloin steak, which looked much larger on the plate. The bread was artisan, however was not warmed. The service was great, however, since I was one of two diners, it’s hard to judge. No one knocked into any chairs, however the pictures are still crooked. The tables are nicely set with a tablecloth and appropriate silverware and bread dishes. This is not fast food. There is a very nice, dark, atmosphere there with some jazzy Frank Sinatra playing in the background. My steak, the highlight of the meal, was about 1.5 inches think and perfectly cooked throughout. There was a little bit of fat on it, but not much. It had been trimmed, but not overly so. The char marks were a nice touch as well. It obviously wasn’t cooked on a flattop grill. They have a limited selection of red wines by the glass, but they brought me out a glass of French Bordeaux. It was not overly priced and went perfectly with the steak. Also, there was a good serving of buttered mushrooms, enough so that I didn’t need a side dish. I didn’t eat the tomato as I already had grilled tomato twice that day! All in all, it was very nice to go somewhere not crowded and moderately priced. I checked the prices going back to the hotel and my steak was a pound more than the fast foodish Angus steak restaurant or any other type tourist restaurant I saw on the way home. I just wished my husband was there so we could have tried some dessert!
