DLR& National Rail connections. This station is not good for the centre of Greenwich — you know, the bit where all the tourists are trying to get to. This station is in walking distance of those attractions though. Ideally positioned for those living and working in the area. It is also handy for the pubs and junk shops at this end of Greenwich High Street. Busy during the peak times for commuters but it eases up throughout the day. Well lit, maintained & open. Trains are frequent and the structure is maintained well. Great because the platform for National Rail is adjacent or just down the stairs and underpass. Tourists, remember, this is NOT the Greenwich station you are seeking. This location is not well staff — if at all — occassionally you will find staff on or near the DLR platforms.

Greenwich Station is in Zone 2 and hosts overground services operated by South Eastern towards Cannon Street and Charing Cross(London Bound) and Dartford and Kent. It is located a few minutes walk away from Greenwich’s main attractions. When leaving the station, turn left and walk down Greenwich High Road. Facility wise there is a small coffee shop and a news stand where you can purchase newspapers, magazines, drinks and snacks for the same price as a newsagent. Another thing which is worth noting is that for some reason the trains here stop all the way down the end of the platform, quite far away from the station entrance which is really quite annoying is if you’re running late it means you are likely to miss your train. Get to the station early if you can. I have also once made a complaint to tfl as I was approached by sales people on the platform trying to sell me dental insurance(or something) which made me feel uncomfortable whilst I waited. Credit to tfl and the staff, my complaint was upheld and I haven’t seen sales people on the platform since.
