Nice little gem of a pub just off chancery lane. Nice place to relax and have a quiet friendly chat, went on an evening where a friend had booked it for birthday, entire ground floor was for ourselves, very personalised and exclusive. Serves a range of food, great value is a burger and unlimited prosecco combo for £24 within a time frame of 90mins not bad right. Nice choice of hot dogs and mini plates too all at reasonable prices. Great place enjoy an evening, décor needs slight updating but all in all a place to start the evening off

This colourful little pub is a hidden gem in Chancery Lane. Had I not been told it was there I would have never discovered it myself. The first thing I noticed was the décor, colourful floral wallpaper, lots of portraits on the walls (possibly 17th — 18th century style) and fairy lights. I really like fairy lights.
Once we sat down I discovered the drinks menu was attached to a book spine (oh so hipster) and there was poetry in it! Needless to say reading verses from Byron was more important than the actual menu so it took me a while to get to the drinks.
Once I did though there were lots of things that stood out, my favourite being Dark and Stormy, served pirate style (in a specific glass… not with a parrot… I asked).
My friend had a chicken burger with chips as well. I really liked the chips I stole from him and I believe he enjoyed his burger too.
I have to say I really liked that place, the bartender was an absolute star, he came to tell us when the happy hour was about to be over, he was happy to offer recommendations and surprise cocktails, he was checking to see if we were ok through the night and was very nice to us. Definitely a person that can make a bar awesome.
I would definitely go back to that place, more delicious cocktails to try! If you work close to this place go for after work drinks. With happy hour every day till 8 it is absolutely brilliant.
