I know the décor is as jarring as the location but overlook these minor details. Welcome to Turkish nirvana. I have sampled many a Turkish offering along Green Lanes and here I found the ideal mix of options, cost, location and enthusiastic staff. I also applaud the portion size and free meze. So all told this is my favourite Turkish lunch option! Enjoy freely Unilocalers of North London. thank me later.

I’m not sure if this is of the same ownership as for me the best Turkish in Green Lanes Gokyuzu but this one has amble seats and like many Turkish huge portions. North London is spoilt with great Turkish places and this is another to add with a proper platter of meats(for me the best thing to order if you have 3 or more people). Share the meats consisting of ribs, wings, diner, shish. Get your free sides of breads and salads and Turkish tea. Then take any away in a doggie bag(you’ll be a hero if you do finish it all), then go home and take in the meat sweats. Go here if in the area for a cinema visit as it has a lot of room for customers and it’s a reliable place to get your filling of food. You won’t go hungry!

I had several foods there but lamb beyti is my favourite. Prompt service. Staff is friendly and helpful. I like the interior as well. Next time id like to try their daily meals as they look tasty. Don’t forget to get your complimentary baklava and tea.

Yum yum yum. I veered from kebab and tried Guvec, a very very delicious lamb and aubergine stew which comes with rice and salad. It is so good and the aubergine is soft, flavoursome perfection. The lamb too but the aubergine really stands out — none of that undercooked slightly bitter slightly hard aubergine here. And the staff are so nice. I’m awkward about cucumber(hate it with passion) but they are always really nice about it and I’ve never found a trace of cucumber in my salad. Side note — they do big glasses of tasty fresh orange juice too. It’s a big, clean happy restaurant with excellent food and it’s great for groups — yay!

We eat here all the time. It’s delicious and reasonable — you’ll fill up on complimentary warm freshly baked bread and salads and the kebabs are amazing. Check out the lamb sheesh kebab, two can eat very well here for £20 tops.

Awesomely big portions of Turkish(?) food make this restaurant a very good value, perfect for the end of a shopping trip. This restaurant is great for groups and casual dining. Because it is so loud and busy I wouldn’t come here on a date. The customer service for me was somewhat chaotic, and maybe because of the noise(but I suspect knowledge of English) it was hard to get our needs met.

This really popular turkish eatery has great food and an efficient service, not to mention very reasonable prices. My favourite item is the chicken shish; very succulent! It was packed when I went for sunday lunch, so you may find yourself having to shout to be heard by your fellow diners.

Had a great experience at this eatery. Helpful staff(and plenty of them) and very very swift service. Went on a busy rainy Sunday afternoon and we were nicely sat in area at back of top floor(appreciate not being shoved in by other busy tables). There were a few big parties in(and big eaters– some of the platters are massive) but it was not even noticeable as the place is well spaced out with nice background music. Had a tasty meal of chicken donner(small £7) but was more than enough as you get free bread salad and tzakziki to start– all good tasting. They were also very happy for us to box up the leftovers we had. Great location for nearby shopping centre and 2 cinemas.

We booked a table for 10 for my hubby’s birthday dinner. We didn’t have to wait long for our table and the service received was pretty good. The warm bread and mezes brought out before the meal were a nice touch and very delicious, the trick is in trying not to fill up on them before the main meal comes. We bought 2 platters to share. The food was AMAZING! So fresh, hot, flavoured well and just plain delicious. Salads were good too. Will definitely return to this awesome restaurant soon!

Wood Green is ruled by Turkish and polish shops. So to discover a new Turkish restaurant/take away after 3 month absence is not a big deal. By myyyyy did it look good from the outside. Warm colours, a wide range of seating arrangements and loads of nice full plates. My friend and I had a some catching up to do and this was as good a place as any. The menu is very typical. Loads of meat and not many veggie options. We ordered two starters and two mains. That was way too much! They gave us hummus, bread AND a salad on the house. Plus all the rest of the delicious food this nearly killed me, as I can never resist a great Turkish meal. Also the waiters were amazingly nice and when I asked for some extra rice it was given without any extra charge. Amazing.
