Okay I’m going to be really embarassing for a second and admit I really only wanted to come here because I knew One Direction had frequented this club in the past. While I didn’t have a Liam or Niall sighting on my visit, I still had fun and would probably come again. As other girls have said in their reviews, the fact that female visitors don’t have to pay cover is a nice plus. I would try to get on guestlist if you can so the wait time is minimal and you can skip the line, as there will probably be one. From there, the drinks are definitely expensive. I would suggest pregaming before you go or being confident that you will be able to get guys to buy you drinks. The dancing was fun — the music is good and it was soon really late because we danced the night away. FB is in a good location and a taxi or Über home(I guess depending where you’re going, for us, not far) is definitely reasonable. I would come again if I was in London and wanting a fancy night out. Next time I’d probably try to get some more free drinks out of the experience.

We got the table on a Wednesday night to celebrate my friend’s home coming. He left London 14 years ago for Hong Kong and had not been back since. I think everyone enjoyed the night. The girl who served our table was really friendly and looked to have a good time too. Overall not a bad place to go to but It’s lacking the good vibe atmosphere that you get in places like No.41 and Xclusive Touch.

NB: Visited here while rather inebriated, and also was not paying. As others have mentioned, securing a table is dependent on buying a bottle… Yes it’s an annoying policy, but not uncommon for the high-end places to go out in London. What WAS annoying was being offered a table, only to be led to join a group of a dozen 18 year old girls who the staff wanted us to join. I’m not a prude person but as the only girl in a group of 6, this did leave me feeling a little awkward and we decided to forgo the table. Overall it’s a fun experience — it’s not every day a bloke walks around a club playing the sax in time with the music. Wouldn’t hurry back specifically, but would be quite happy to end up there again.

We got in for free on the guest list and therefore didn’t then mind that we only stayed for 5 minutes. For a start, it was a good job that we were not drunk, because if we were, I’m sure that we would have fallen down the stairs that take you inside. There were so many, you had to use them to go to the toilet and cigarette and the cloakroom. Secondly, after walking down all of the steps, all I wanted to do was sit down. Where can we sit? Nowhere! Unless you get table service with your own waiter. Excuse me manager/owner, can you not see that not everyone wants this from a club and it shouldn’t be a privilege to sit down?! So I decided that I wouldn’t moan about this to anyone, I smiled at my friend and walked to the bar to get a drink. After just being at Dirty Martini, I knew it was going to be a little more expensive, but then I saw 14 pounds for a drink. 14! I was distraught, at this point I was ready to leave. But I stayed for one drink that I drank very quickly and left the venue feeling awful. It ruined my whole night and I didn’t move on to somewhere else, I just went home. The reason I didn’t give the place 1 star is because, the interior is beautiful and I am a massive fan of interior design. I wouldn’t recommend this venue unless you are rich. In which case I will come with you.

Funky Buddha is my best club in London. Ive been there many times and gonna return again. I love there everything stylish parties, hip people, good music ect. For someone who never been but want to rty it worth it, but be ready that Funky is not the cheapest place in London. Also you have to be well dressed(obviously). You can meet lots of famous faces there, so if you like rich&famous parties go to this club. For girls important info you dont need to pay in you are in a list.(im using lux glist, 07775092749). For boys be ready there lots pretty girls and you might spend lots of money on these angels ha ha

I had a fantastic night at this club, due to a great crowd. The place is almost invisible from the outside, but nice downstairs. Welcoming and friendly staff first but then towards the end security became almost of military style persecution, repeatedly harrassing people for leaving their handbag on the floor or hanging their coat while dancing, and blocking out a huge space empty while the rest of the club was bursting. This kind of ruined the fantastic vibe and tested our patience. The music was great and fun with good mixing by the DJ. I would be testing to go back often, if only they keep the security reasonable.

FB is cool on Tuesdays but not my favourite club at the weekend. Been here quite a few times now usually a good night!

For such an expensive club(£20), you would think they’d have a bigger venue. They had great music though.

i must say a very good night out on a thursday night the venue, the people, the bar staff and door men are all nice people and are willing to help out in any difficulties. the music is good and everyone is there to have a nice time so its a definate tryer if you can wake up to go to work on a friday but if not you better book it off.

I had a blast here but 1) I was with my own large group and not looking to meet or hook up with anyone and 2) I wasn’t paying. We made reservations, so we didn’t have to wait in line. Guys still had to pay £20 cover(yikes!), but girls got in free. Drinks were also stupidly expensive at about £12 each. The music they played was great, and we danced the whole night away. The problem is that I was wearing killer heels and after all that dancing, needed a place to sit down, but there is nowhere to sit until you buy bottle service to reserve a table! It was a Thursday night, so while the dance floor was full, many of the tables were empty. Finally after pleading with one of the security guards, he agreed to look the other way as we rested at one of the«reserved» spots. All in all, a great night but best to go when you don’t have to pick up the tab!

I usually wind up here a bit pissed by the invitation of a business contact who takes groups of clients after drinks at the hotel over the road. It is full of very overdressed girls-on-the-make and passing businessmen. I wouldn’t go there sober or of my own free will if paid ££££s steer WELL clear

Absolutely nothing distinguishing about this club, unless you count a pungent stick of incense that seemed to be kept burning til the place closed. I don’t need to pay 20 pounds to get into somewhere to make fun of D-level celebs and botoxed cougars. Slipped up once. Won’t make the same mistake twice!

Great Night out!!! A group of 20 of us went, everyone was nice. There was no usual rif raf as you may find in night clubs. No tacky dressers. Everyone there, really was there for a good night out. Great music and drinks prices were average for a london night club. We were on champagne so cannot tell you for spirits. The doormen were hillarious when sometimes you’ll find grumpy men. a definate place to go with your friends.

The quick read — we love nightlife and clubbing, and we absolutely hated this place, more than almost any other we’ve been to. We walked in, paid our 20 pound cover, had one drink, and left without looking back. Beware! This place sucks, in our opinion. We like going out, dancing, clubbing, etc. We were in London for two nights, and asked our hotel concierge to recommend a club with«house music» that would be a little less intense than, say, MOS or Fabric(we might be getting a little too old for that). He put us on the guest list here and we walked right in after saying«we’re on the guest list»(despite the talk about how hard it might be to get in and how we had to be there early, which we weren’t, we didn’t even have our names checked — either we’re attractive or they are not as selective as they claim to be, your choice). The club is subterranean, with low ceilings and a dank, sweaty feel. The crowd quality on a Friday night was awful. The décor was terrible as well — felt like a bad hotel bar, nothing like the high end dance club(even after the multi-hundred-thousand pound renovation described in the nightlife rags) described to us. It was the worst expensive club I have ever been to in my life. Admittedly, we are from the US and don’t know what London clubbing standards are. We expected good things, and I’m sure they are there and we didn’t find them. But we’ve been out extensively in the US, South America, Europe, and Australia, and I can say unequivocally that this was the worst price/value club I have ever been to in my life, over all those countries and several decades. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But while I can happily embrace and enjoy a wide range of nightlife options — from casual and scummy to exclusive and stylish — we were miserable here. I would strongly recommend you consider other options. I really, really wish we had.

Top club, can get very hot but when you have a table of Vodka and loads of drinks flying around then your sure to have a good time. Dress smart — door policy is tough

Funky Buddha is a typical West End ‘exclusive’ club frequented by beautiful people who are served by even more beautiful staff. Whenever I have been the music has been the usual RnB and commercial house tunes that the svelte girls dressed in designer dresses can gyrate their miniscule hips to while clutching their Louis/Gucci/Dior bags. I have never paid the £20 entry fee so going to Funky Buddha has always been a glamorous night out without the expense. The drinks are also typical Mayfair prices– don’t expect much change(if any!) after buying a couple of drinks. If you love celeb watching you’ll be in star heaven as the club is next to swanky restaurant Nobo and celebrities often drop by. If you want to feel like you’re part of a RnB music video head down to Funnky Buddha but remember it could be an expensive night.

Funky Buddha, which is just a few minutes walk from Green Park tube, is one of those clubs that I had been planning on going to since I heard of it. I went for a friends birthday, which meant vip treatment, though still meant that we had to pay a £20 entry fee, but no queuing. The bouncers were really laid back, the bar staff were beautiful and they even had girls going round giving complimentary massage’s! I heard about this before and didn’t believe it to be true, surely you had to tip them at least, but nope, it was on the house. Okay, the drinks are expensive but it is right next to a celebrity goers restaurant, that being Nobu and right in central, so expensive drinks comes part of the package. It has an eastern feel and played funky tracks all night, with a bit of Hip Hop, well it did on our night. The only slight downer on the night was that the crowd took a while to warm up, and even when they did it was still a bit dull, though the birthday boy did pull, so all in all it really is a great place, small, but great. Will I go again? Maybe, probably.

Went to Funky Buddha one the first night after the refurbishment, did not see that much difference. It has always been a popular spot for oriental people, but the bar staff are slow, drinks over priced. And the music so so. Don’t really know how it got the reputation, maybe it’s a mayfair thing. Entrance is expensive, but that is just normal in that area.

I mmust say i liked Funky Buddha! It was a fun place to be in. It was somewhat cheaper than the other posh clubs but id still felt like a proper posh club. I believe that Funky Buddha is one of them places where u have to visit at the right time. I can imagine Funky Buddha flop many of their nights, however when I was there I had an absolute blast. It could have been the club but my instinkts tell me that my crowd was what made my time so great. Pro’s: Fun place, nice price range, posh. Con:s Can flop easily, somewhat of a backup club.

Funky Buddha has been recently refurbished and what a difference it makes. It no longer seems like a tacky haunt of every big brother star that ever was, but rather a classy, fun venue in the heart of Mayfair that guarentees a good night out. The nights vary however so be warned. During the week you get a more London based crowd albeit with the odd sprinkling of footballers and glamour models but where dont you in central London?! Tues and Fri nights are good and busy not doesnt feel over crowded in the small club. Sat nights are very busy as expected and the crowd is noticably different, great if your from Essex, not so great if your not.
