Pretty impressive for a tube station especially when they managed to squish in a number of everyday stores(including Sainos and Holland & Barrett), a spattering of middle of the road chain restaurants. You know the ones: Yo Sushi. Pizza Express, a cinema and a posh gym. In my book that is a pretty pimped terminal and has changed from a place of transit to a destination location! It’s actually pretty clever when you think about, put it all I’m one place and they’ll never leave. Never ever!

Blimey! What the hell’s happened to Fulham Broadway Tube station??? Last time I was there, many years ago granted, it was a toilet of a station. Now it’s fantastic. OK the district line is still pretty pants, but at least now you can while away the hours waiting for a train by grabbing a doughnut or reading a book in Borders. Well done on the upgrade.

Another random thing to review, but it’s my local«one-stop» shopping place so I have to chime in. What it comes down to is that this is a really convenient thing to have in your neighbourhood. As much as I want to gripe about chain stores taking over the world, when push comes to shove, it’s just really nice having a massive Sainsbury’s next to a Boots and just a few steps from a Border’s, with our gym upstairs, a decent cinema in the building, and the tube below. In terms of the convenience factor, this place rates pretty highly in my book. No, it’s not funky, or unique, or even very cool. But on a rainy day when you are feeling exhausted and lazy, having everything within easy reach is worth its weight in gold.

Fulham Broadway station used to be a bit of a hole but on my recent visit to Stamford Bridge, I was amazed when I ascended into this bright modern station. Now if only I could persuade Chelsea Football Club to move to Morden so I get that station upgraded… LOL

Not being particular a fan of shopping centres, you still end up shopping there, as it just the convenient factor. I usually pay a visit to the Fulham Broadway Shopping Centre on the weekend, here a brief overview: 1. It has a massive Sainsbury’s — I hardly can walk home with all my orange bags 2. Gym — they have a gym placed on the upper floors, lots of Fulhamers meet that way 3. The restaurants — Nandos/Pizza Express is have experienced so far — for more atmosphere I would recommend to go somewhere else 4. Book shop Borders — I often watched people who sit there and instead of buying the book they just make them self comfortable and start reading there 5. Cinema — a rainy Sunday, sitting at home trying to do work end ups up with paying a visit to the cinema 6. Freshly baked German Bretzels — I can not resist — the best! This place is an all-rounder and is particular handy if you want to drive there by car as there is a big parking garage in the basement.

Fulham Broadway Shopping Centre looks great from the outside but I always feel like there should be more to this place than there actually is. I suppose for the area, you don’t need that many shops /facilities but, still, with the Southside Shopping Centre only a 10 minute bus ride away, this place has some stiff competition. There’s a huge Sainsbury’s inside the shopping centre and some good restaurants and of course a cinema(a Vue cinema). There’s also a Zavvi and a bookshop. It’s a very simple shopping centre, only a few floors and the tube station entrance can be reached from within. Generally, I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit this shopping centre. It’s convenient for Fulham locals but if you don’t live close by then there’s no real point of going here at all…
