Pizza, presented with a sort of brutal efficiency– don’t expect anything sodden in cheese or over stressed with toppings (although quality is key). Expect to pay about £8 per pizza. More or less always busy; popular with the Nappy Valley crowd and hip young things alike.

Best pizza I have ever had including in Tuscany and many other places around the world! Two thumbs up!

Kein künstlicher Chic, vernünftige Preise und ein gemischtes, eher junges Publikum. Nun aber zum eigentlichen Produkt: Die Pizza ist herausragend. Sie wird in einem sizilianischen Spezialofen gebacken, der Teig wird in einem besonders schonenden Verfahren hergestellt, der Rand geht toll auf. Zusammen mit dem sehr leckeren Belag ein Gedicht!
Wein wird rustikal in Wassergläsern serviert — für die angebotenen, durchaus guten Landweine vielleicht passend… ich persönlich bevorzuge echte Weingläser.

Its good expensive pizza. Better than ordering from Dominos or pizza hut. Its great for kids, families, casual lunch etc.
Nice décor, service is fast and friendly. The meat pizzas are very salty but besides that no complaints.

There’s not much I can say about Franco Manca that hasn’t already been said — it’s a trusty mainstay which always delivers. Their model is pretty simple — one ridiculously hot oven, pretty inexpensive (£4.50 — £7.50) sourdough pizza, high turnover, and it works rather well.
The Clapham branch is housed in a relatively narrow space but it extends quite far down the back so there’s a decent number of tables. And, as mentioned, the staff I’ve run into are super Italian, adding to the whole authenticity thing.
The pizza menu is limited — 6 standard options, plus two specials (one meat, one veg). I’ve never been disappointed by FM — ok, they’re not the most generously topped pizza in the world (you’re paying less here than you would for Pizza Express, people), but they’re a decent size and the pizza base is excellent — the sourdough has a great texture and the heat of the oven does wonders for the crust. The toppings are simple and of good quality — the simplicity doesn’t detract from the experience whatsoever. The greatest pizza in the world? No. But FM are very good at what they do and I’ve enjoyed their fare far more than places such as Pizza Pilgrims; at the prices they charge, I really can’t complain. And on top of all of that, I rather enjoyed my espresso there too (I can’t say I’m surprised).
Cheap, good, and reliable, it really is one of those perfect local places. Their takeaway orders seem to be ready pretty quickly too (last time was 10 minutes at 7:30pm). Of course, all of this adds up to a single question: Why Does Domino’s Exist? Discuss.

It was ok and certainly better than ordering from a local chain, but for 4 stars you have to stand a head above the crowd even just a little bit. Franco Manca did not do that for me.
I ordered the wild broccoli and mozzarella with old spot sausage which is meant to be a white pizza but I asked for it to be with tomato sauce instead.
It was a lot of dough and not a lot of ingredient. Very little cheese or sauce and the broccoli seemed to be chinese style with long stems that stuck out from all angles of the pizza.
Spot was decent but lacked some flavour.
Not good enough to solicit a comeback.

This place is good and I will be trying again. My pizza could have benefitted from a few more slices of chorizo and a little more cheese as there where a few large gaps with just tomato sauce and bread.

Chili oil, Garlic oil, nice wine, fresh ingredients. Always crowded, food comes quickly, and is faaaantastic. Highly recommended local spot.

Got some very delicious pizza here, takeaway for a hungover lunch in my friend’s flat. Unfortunately it wasn’t hot by the time we got it home in the car, but it was still absolutely delicious. My pizza was a tomato base with some kind of hard sausage, and broccoli. The sausage was really fantastic though a bit greasy. It’s massively cheap for what you get. 5 – 7 pounds gets you a personal pizza that will fill you up unless you’re a massive pig. I’d love to come back and get some piping hot and enjoy it even more!

OMG!!! This is probably one of the best pizza I ever had in my life … definitely it was the best pizza base I have ever bitten in my life: soft, tasty a masterpiece. Simple toppings… I want to go back right away ;-) they have their own beer, which is pretty cool. (be aware of the crowd.)

–Its so packed it can be uncomfortable not only for you, but to watch people hovering above you as you eat just seeing them cheering you in in their heads and encouraging you to eat faster so you can get out of their possible future chair and table. I hate that. Like vultures.

The pizzas are very good and the prices are very cheap for the area. The food arrives quickly when compared to other pizza restaurants. The service is reasonable, but nothing to write home about.
