Excellent brunch and lunch place, if a bit cliché for the anti-gentrification crowd. Service on a Saturday morning has been good on multiple occasions, with their poached egg dishes as the stars of the show. I’ve also been back(since it’s less than 5 min away!) for lunch and their sourdough-base pizzas are also delicious. No comment on their coffee though as I’m not a coffee-drinker, but that seems to be a point of contention with some other reviewers!

Fairly typical postindustrial concrete-and-black coffee shop with short thick coffee which is OK, if not great. Completely falls down on the service — they made me a £2.20 cup of tea, wouldn’t give it to me, and I had to go into a meeting 10m later(still no tea). After the meeting I asked for the cuppa I’d paid for and they said they’d already delivered it. I asked them if they could put a teabag in a cup of hot water and give it to me, since there was obviously some mix-up, but no. General service isn’t great, food often cold and blah. Rude, terrible food, crude. Avoid.

A big favourite of mine! I love to go there for a brunch on weekends: try the French toast with mascarpone and the smoked salmon eggs benedict! Delightful! Also a great place to go get some work done in a nice ambiance. Try their vanilla chai tea with a pastry … Mmmmh

Very bad hot meals!(Except pizzas but it’s only for dinner) And the waiters don’t know how to explain the meals. And the cookers knew that the beaf was failed but they served it. And if you don’t like chicken minced in blinder with herbs, don’t take the chicken burger.

Passed here and realised it was another branch. It was huge inside! Service a little on slow side. They forgot my coffee but I went up, no harm down and reminded them. Good coffee again and people watched. Bliss. Good cake too. Bit cold near the doorways tho. I do like this coffee shop on the whole wherever they are. Consistently good.

Best spot for egg brunches and awesome cruffins! It almost feels like a Brooklyn café, but their twist on all the best British brunch classics and the Whitechapel location make it unique.,

I am lucky to have this café, two mins from my house. After walking past is numerous times, I finally made it to Foxcroft and Ginger for brunch. I am always looking for that place that reminds me of home, — brunch is a kiwis favourite meal. As you know how much I «love» eggs — finding that something different is what I aim for. Foxcroft’s savoury French toast is a take on the famous croque monsieur. Drizzled around the plate was a sticky honey mustard dressing. Although very delicious I think it was just a bit too sweet for the dish. However I loved the thickness of the French toast — I think of which they used a cornbread. If the dish wasn’t so big I would have finished it off. No complaints came from my fellow diners, and from looking at the eggs bene, you could tell that the components were home-made and quality produce. The only thing I would change is their drinks menu — in hopes that they add smoothies or fresh juices to accompany your meal. If the brunch is this good, I will be returning for their pizzas. If you love brunch this place will keep you wanting more! Rating Food: 8.5÷10 Service: 9⁄10 Value for Money: Very Good

It is hard to spot this café from the outside during the day … No major signs and they have s bit childish hand painted writing on the glass doors and front. Inside it is simple and functional with a bit of industrial look. Coffee: flat white … Just as it should be rich in taste and not overpowered by adding too much milk … You could say £2,5 for a flat white is not at the cheap end but for good quality coffee I would pay that any day of the week. Food selection is limited, but what they serve looks and smells great. I only tried the croissant … it was nice and crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside … Taste noting special, but it perfectly good! As some review have mentioned before above the café is a tech co-working space which mean you have a good chance to meet people with entrepreneurial spirit.

The restaurant is rustic style and there is music playing in background. The staff are friendly. We had cake and tea and it was lovely, My Scone was so flaky and warm. Came with homemade jam which was a mixed fruit jam. Big lovely lumps of fruit I would totally go back for that jam in itself. My husband had a orange and chocolate cake whoich he said tasted like Jaffa cake which he thoroughly enjoyed. Loved the chocolate large shaved flakes on top as well made the cake look more divine. Love the heart pattern that is on the coffee as well when served. I had tea and it was not tea bags but tea leaves instead which is so much better and I loved the way the milk came in a mini milk bottle unique. I would deff go back there for the cakes. Did not have any hot food like burger etc but what we could see looked amazing big thick chunky burgers and chips.
