Situated in s depressing little side street next to Hyde Park on a good day you can get a table outside and see the green fields from afar whilst surrounded by brick on every other side. Saying that, this isn’t a bad place to visit anyway. The upstairs area is pleasant and downstairs, with the low ceilings not made for tall people, houses a restaurant area but whenever i’ve ever been it’s always been empty. Good selection of wine and an array of bar snacks make this an ideal post-work drinking hole for the local workers. It’s always popular but never really crowded and is right next to the tube which is also a bonus.

A really strange place this, A simple door on the outside, leads you downstairs into a cellar that has been converted into a wine bar /restaurant. Small in size, I would say 50 people and it would be full. If kind of works though in an old /middle aged sort of a way. Most definitely a pub for businessmen, I would say well done to the owners that have re-used this space and are making a good return from it. They have a restaurant upstairs, so double bubble in terms of profit. Certainly not a night spot of young and trendy, it is a place to escape work for an hour or two or a business lunch. I had Pheasant washed down with the house red and it was all good. They make there own crisps here which are also odd but the regulars devour them a plenty. If you want somewhere a bit outside of the norm for a business meet, hook up with friends at lunchtime or a lunchtime bolthole then give it a try. Probably one of those places you go to because it so is different, I know a lot of the clientele have been going for years.

Fino’s wine bar, situated underneath Serafino’s restaurant, was to me a huge disappointment. Tradional looking, tiny place, not for the tall amongst us i found it over-priced and unforgiveably dull. 2 glasses of, admittedly, a very good basic wine was £10+ although the range of old men standing listlessly about the venue we’re obviously more than content with the venue I absolutely hated it. One to avoid.
