This was by far the best food in London. Ffiona the owner adds dazzle to the service with her great personality and attention to detail is remarkable. I have never had a meal this good in my 45 years on the earth. This is a must. I had the fish pie. Braised red cabbage and a rainbow salad. All were write home about words cannot do this place justice. Again you must try this I travel for a living and have eaten all over the world and Ffionas is a must. Going back tonight for round 2. Round 2 Had the best pork chop ever so tender mmmmmm, Had to have the Rainbow salad and braised cabbage again… just typing this makes my mouth water. Almost forgot had duck pâté to start never had this before so very good Round 3 Dined by myself tonight and it was epic. Had the chicken Kiev best in the universe with a side of Ffionas squash damn man was that the deal had to get a side to go to take back to my husband in the states. Across from me was a dad with his 2 kids boy and girl they had to be under 10 and the were having fish and chips the boy was going on about how good it was wow… Almost forgot I had to have the rainbow salad again it’s a MUST. Enough can’t be said about this place or Ffiona herself so very kind takes care of everyone I can honestly say I feel like FAMILY there… going back on my next trip later in the week will add with my next meal I’m gonna eat my way thru this menu This is a must go if in London

Ffiona’s was our first brunch spot in London. It was a lovely little café with good food and a cozy atmosphere. I had the English Breakfast and my fiancé had the pesto eggs Benedict. They were both delicious. The sausage and tomatoes with the English breakfast were particularly tasty. I highly recommend the pesto eggs Benedict as the pesto was delicious and the combination of flavors was really nice. We went on a Friday at 11am and were the only ones there which made for a nice private brunch. I imagine it gets really busy on the weekends. The owner was there and both her and the server were really nice. Quick tip for U.S. visitors, bacon in the UK is more similar to salted ham. It is still pork and delicious, just prepared differently.

Simply phenomenal. Upon asking the hotel concierge for a recommendation for local cuisine, I was immediately told to go to Ffiona’s. Upon entering the quaint restaurant, I was given a very warm welcome by Ffiona herself and shown to my table. I told Ffiona that I was looking for authentic British fare and she took over from there. After highlighting the specials, I was easily convinced to order the fish cake as a starter and the meat pie as my entrée. Both meals were exceptional. With barely any room left, for dessert I had the sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream. Wow! Ffiona and her staff checked on me several times throughout the meal. This clearly is a special spot that I would recommend without hesitation to anyone looking for a delicious, authentic and homemade meal. Thank you Ffiona.

I cannot say enough about Ffiona’s & Ffiona(owner/waitress/all-around fantastic lady!). After a few subpar dining experiences on my first trip to London — Ffiona’s was an absolutely amazing experience. I walked in without a reservation and instead of turning me away because she was all booked up, she eagerly figured out how to get me a table and after seating me quickly returned with bread and water — which I desperately needed after spending the whole afternoon wandering around London. Ffiona & her sidekick(who was also fantastic) were the only waitresses in the tiny establishment, but managed to keep an almost symphonic hold over the flow of the food, drinks and overall service in the restaurant. The food was incredible — I got the grilled avocado starter and then went with the classic fish & chips(which were my first fish & chips in London and actually first ever when I think about it.) Both were absolutely delicious. As amazing as the food was, it was almost an after-thought compared to the service and atmosphere that made me feel like I was at home(in the best home I could possibly imagine) even though I was thousands of miles away from my real home in NYC. That being said, I’ve dined in some really great establishments in New York, but Ffiona’s was by far one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Not only is the entire place just awesome in every way(I really can’t say enough!), but I overheard some great stories that Ffiona was telling to other tables — including that she serves a classic American Thanksgiving and that the first sitting of which, is entirely free for anyone that wants it. THISWOMANISANANGEL! Thank you Ffiona for being so welcoming, friendly, and giving me such a fantastic experience. You and your restaurant optimize exactly what I imagined all the best parts of London to be!

Ffiona’s was my favorite meal during my trip to England this summer. The ambiance is intimate and romantic, and the service from Ffiona and the wait staff was amazing. I ordered the highly recommended chicken kiev and it was amazing, as promised. I will definitely come back to Ffiona’s if I’m ever in Notting Hill again.

I had their fresh fish of the day was haddock with capers, lemon, and mash on the sides. It was incredible, especially since my last few experiences with haddock started to make me think that haddock was a tasteless fish. Majority of their foods land from 15 – 20 pounds. The main waitress(who seemed to be in charge of most of the tables) was nice and when she had time, she sat down and got to know me for awhile. The other waitress was also very respectful and kind. The environment is kind of dark, but really cute with music wallpaper everywhere. Pricey dinner for a backpacker, but overall it was a very good meal. :)

Thank you ffiona for such an amazing meal with my family in London. They came all the way from California to taste your chicken Kiev. The trip was totally worth it. Glad we booked this place as getting a table for six would be difficult. The atmosphere was rustic and candlelit. They brought large jugs of ice water for the table which was very nice. Drinks– a gin and tonic and a bottle of white wine were fine. Appetizers we ordered were the vegetable soup which was more of a purée of vegetables and the watermelon mint feta salad. We enjoyed both flavor combinations. The STAR of the night was the chicken Kiev. Unbelievable. Heart stoppingly filled with butter and herbs. Perfectly cooked and tender with a crispy outside. One of my favorite dinners of the year if not the decade. Already planning to come back. The rice and carrot sides went well with the melted butter that oozed from the kievs. To top our dinner off, we had two sticky toffee puddings(this sauce was well done), Eton mess, and a blueberry custard. All were fantastic but not too heavy. Again I cannot wait to return. Thank you for making my families visit more memorable.

Ffiona’s was probably the best meal we ate in London, and definitely gave us the best overall experience! Dining at Ffiona’s was like having a meal with a friend(who just happens to own a fabulous restaurant!). I cannot say enough good things about this place and it’s namesake! Ffiona herself was very welcoming and friendly, gave food and drink recommendations(take her recommendations, she will not steer you wrong!), made conversation with us and even brought out a cake when she learned both of our birthdays fell during our trip to London! Her level of hospitality went beyond anything else we’ve experienced! Even the other patrons were warm and welcoming and we stayed much longer than we intended to while chatting with the people next to us and Ffiona. Besides being a fabulous hostess, Ffiona’s food is to die for! I started with the kale salad(with quinoa, edamame, cranberries, avocado and sunflower seeds with a mango, basil and tahini dressing), which was Ffiona’s recommendation. It was delicious and paired well with the cocktail she recommended. I am still talking about that amazing salad! For our main dishes, I had a chicken dish and my husband had the lamb. Everything was so good, there was a lot of plate sharing going on! I highly recommend Ffiona’s and will no doubt be back next time we’re in London!

Candlelight, garden flowers, exquisite food and spirits, and the charm and warmth of Ffiona herself make this a special and intimate place to eat. The grilled avocado salad was sublime, only to be exceeded by Succulent Welsh rump lamb in au jus with mint sauce, rainbow root salad with gogi berries, mashed potatoes with leeks, and the most delicious Pimms cup i’ve ever had. I returned 3 nights later with colleagues and we had an equally divine experience. My neighbor recommended Ffionas, but I met three fellow foodies in the airline industry who assured me it was their home away from home. Can’t wait to return.

It is warm, and welcoming, and charming, and delicious. Go to Ffiona’s. Eat at Ffiona’s(the restaurant). Be charmed by Ffiona(the person). Leave a happy happy person. THAT’S THEEQUATION. When Ffiona recommends a dish… go for it. Tonight’s deliciousness was the fish and chips which was… in a word: perfect. Perfectly crisp cod, delicious minted peas, and absurdly crisp hand-cut chips. The tartar sauce? It left you forgetting what malt vinegar and ketchup even are. That good, yes. Other deliciousness: lots of veggie sides, including a parmesan rocket salad and creamy-and-flavourful mash with leeks. Opt in to that, folks. As entrees stand-outs are the chicken kiev(purportedly the«best in the world», and I’m not arguing) and the massive chunky pork chop, perfectly cooked and served with the appropriate knife to cut through that porcine treat. Good mix of boozy as well as virgin cocktails. Solid house wine. Massive pitchers of tap water(appreciated) with generous amounts of ice included(for this North American this is *especially* appreciated). Desserts include a lot of British classics… sticky toffee pudding, bread and butter pudding, crumbles, etc. But these are no standard classics. Feeling too full by the end? Split one in lieu of opting out together. TRUST. Unilocal note: reservations recommended; it’s a tight spot, and you’d hate to get to 51 Kensington Church Street and be turned away at the door.

I lived around the corner and would go here for brunch with friends almost every weekend for two years. Very warm hostesses — expect a hug once you’re a regular. Rustic atmosphere. Incredible food. My favorites — pancakes or waffles with bacon or sausage. The Sunday roast is decadent! Top 10 brunch place for London

Amazing Lunch! We had 2 bloody Mary’s on the 2 for the price of one and the fish n chips. All of it was excellent. The service made you feel like you needed to stay all day, so friendly. The portions were large and the drinks were delicious. Small place, so if your going for dinner make a reservations. Go enjoy!

My very first brunch in London, so of course, I had to order the Full English Breakfast complete with English breakfast tea. The dish consisted of tomatoes, fried eggs(can do scrambled or boiled as well), sausage, chips, bacons(NOT American style), and«black pudding.» Overall, I can’t say I loved it, but perhaps, I have yet to get used to the British brunch(as opposed to the American/NYC brunch). The better part of the brunch was the ambience and the owner(?) lady. The restaurant was cozy and quirky; it really made me feel like I had stepped into a local Brit’s small cottage for a hearty brunch. The owner lady was very jolly and kind to explain some of the dishes to us Americans. Really felt like she cared about her business and the customers she served.
