Been here a few times. The coffee is average, there are definitely better coffee places in the immediate area. The bread here is great however, I have gotten a few free loafs late in the afternoon.

New bakery in Chapel Street with all the usual patisserie delights but you can also take a seat and have a cuppa after shopping and watch the world go by.

This is a nice, small place to grab a bite. Prices are mid to top range but the quality is very good. The selection of sarnies and cakes is just right and all of them look delicious. I had a latte and a bit of Swiss roll lovely. They have these mad stools to sit on in there that look like their made of crystal Crazy!!!

I’m a sucker for nice bread so when I saw it in the window I put this place on my to try list. The verdict: I ate an entire loaf in a couple of days. I also tried an almond croissant the other day and I have to say I’ve had some pretty amazing ones(see the Dept of Coffee & Social Affairs)… This one was just«good». The location is nice too. It’s a great place to stop by and warm up when you’re out shopping in Chapel Market.

Apparently this is quite the neighbourhood watering hole! A dreary, wet Sunday afternoon brought young families, loquacious toddlers, paper-reading hipsters, and our little group to the small, but quite well-stocked refuge of Euphorium Bakery. They make a mean lemon and ginger herbal tea(in the sense that they can put a teabag in hot water) and their breakfast pastry items looked legit. I was eyeing my friend’s mum’s quiche Lorraine, even though I’d just finished my own breakfast at home not long prior. Prices come across as reasonable, with beverages and food for a party of four running just under £16. I’d probably rather spend that money at one of the market stalls on Chapel Market instead, but when the weather’s dour and dreich, it’s quite lovely to have a roof over your head. As an aside, does anyone know where there’s a suspended hat in a box up above the register?

A lovely little bakery. The desserts are very dangerous, as Becky F said(although why she gave it only 3 stars is beyond me). Very, very tasty. Their bread is fresh and crusty, and miles above the«fresh bread» you can buy at waitrose. The coffee is acceptable… if they could just bring it to the next level, this place would definitely be 5-star worthy.

Definately a thriving little bakery that has the money coming in the door quicker than they can bake a loaf of bread. This bakery is a bakery revolution that is for sure! Hand made breads, savouries, danishes, and cakes this place has it all. With only a couple of tables inside it is more commonly a takeaway. Though they do have tables outside this didn’t seem to be the popular option and it was the atmosphere inside I enjoyed most. Seeing the hustle and bustle of people coming in and out of this place! Something this bakery does is charge extra to eat in. We ate in and had a baguette each and my boyfriend had an espresso. The variety of baguettes and combinations were extensive and were very delicious. They weren’t short on filling in the baguette either so value for money was definately a bonus. The staff bent over backwards and as I didn’t order a drink did the courtesy thing of bringing me out a cup of tap water. Ok that doesn’t sound exciting I know but they didn’t have to do that and I think they were always trying to go one up and look after their customers. I was enjoying this experience so much that we decided to stay on for a pastry treat. My boyfriend had the scrumptious(I am led to believe) carrot cake(and yet another espresso — so I am guessing it was worthy) and I had a citron tart! YUm YUM Yummmmmm. Though I am not usually in the neck of Islington area I will keep it in mind when I am or if someone I know is heading there.

Thank God this bakery isn’t anywhere near my normal stomping ground. I could seriously put on a good 10 kilos from their carrot cake alone. Seriously. Take that carrot cake off the menu. It’s bad for my waistline.
