I used to like Euphorium more than I do now. They used to do sausage rolls that were on point. Then after I’d popped in a few times to find there weren’t any, it finally transpired that they’d stopped doing them. I was in today and they’re now doing pork and apple sausage rolls. Not ok. Not the same thing. I’ll admit, the Tesco connection also rubs me wrong. What used to feel like a lovely local experience now feels like I might as well be in any chain coffee shop(not quite, I suppose, but it’s just lost some personality). Still — it’s pleasant inside. The cappuccino isn’t incredible but it’s perfectly fine. The breads look amazing but I haven’t tried any.

Good selection of tasty breads and they serve a good coffee. I got here too late to see the cakes on offer, they’d all be wooded — surely a good sign. They also have sandwiches and salads available. This is more than a bakery it’s a café with table service so the prices are a bit more than the selection in your local Tesco. The staff are friendly and helpful. If you come. towards the end. of the day it’s take away only and they will be tidying the shop. The bread, salads and sandwiches also go to 2−4−1.

I want to like this place and make the trip just to come here since I don’t live nearby, but I don’t think I’ll be back. The staff is just rude. I love the iced teas and the café itself is great — never seems too busy, plenty of seating. I don’t know why they have such bad attitudes, but there are plenty of places that are closer where I can get a good coffee and a pastry, so I don’t any reason to keep dealing with the surly staff here. It’s not just one bad egg either, there are at least four members of staff that have been nasty to me on different occasions. Maybe all these people are new? Who knows. The wifi doesn’t work, as far as I can tell. The password is supposedly«croissant,» wasn’t working for me and when I asked the staff again they rudely pointed me towards the sign with the password, although I had explained that I had tried that. I asked another staff member, similar rude, unhelpful response. This was after I dealt with their snotty attitudes while trying to place an order. So maybe you can sweet talk someone into helping you, but good luck. I won’t be trying again.

One star due to ownership by TESCO! used to be a great independent. No one should support all, devouring chains so pass. Walk up to Belsize Village and find some true independent coffee shops.

Food — what a cute spot in a great area. Their quiches are really good and I loved the clafoutis. Good coffee too. Service — great service and nice seating areas

This is the second time ordering a cake from them for birthdays. Their cakes are so lovely, very fresh, and full of flavor. I’ve always loved the fruit toppings– the fruit is all of such good quality and the vanilla bean they use in the frosting has a great texture and taste. It’s just an amazing bakery. I will always come here for my cakes. It can be a little pricy but in a way you get what you pay for. Quality +.

Nice for a tasty pastry or a fresh loaf of bread. I have to say though that I don’t get the attraction. This store is our local Euphorium and it is always packed. I understand grabbing a coffee and a Danish to go on your way to work or the park, but I don’t feel that they sell anything that you could call a meal.

Delicious bread, good coffee and great selection of cakes and pastries. Though it is a small chain, service has a local and personal feel to it, though can be slow when rushing to work in the morning.

Great little coffee spot in Belsize, one of the best. Bakery goods are excellent also… get involved.

A fancier option for coffee and pastries compared to the Starbuck’s and Costa across the street. The clean cream colored design inside makes me sleepy and calm. Good place to sit with a friend and catch up with your eyes half closed and all smiley. Things I’ve eaten and drinken: Apricot Danish– the pastry was super crispy flakey but I enjoy a sweeter taste rather than forcing myself to balance the bites of pastry versus inner apricot sweetness. Cheese and Spinach Brioche(its basically a quiche but I think the crust is more bready instead) — Delicious and creamy albeit small. Mocha– I think they still use powdered chocolate like most places but its of a better quality. They have special bread offers that are decently priced. Like today they had these mozzarella prosciutto stuffed bread loaf. And it was a hefty looking loaf for about three fitty. I can see sharing that with someone and a salad(for my conscious) and still having leftover for breakfast the next day.

Euphorium’s apple tart and cherry danish, paired with a black Americano, made my Tuesday morning. To my knowledge this is the only proper pastry establishment in this immediate retail zone. It’s close to both my apartment and the Belsize Park station — what excuse have I for not having paid it a visit sooner? Certainly there are the ubiquitous Costas and Starbucks and their prefab cakes and cookies, but if I had to choose I’d certainly support the local joints as this.

The Euphorium bakery is great. I say that, although I’ve never actually bought any bread there. Unless you count a bagel. Okay, you do count a bagel, because that is bread. But what I mean is, I haven’t bought a french stick or some other more, you know, traditional type of bread thing. Although, okay, a bagel is a pretty traditional type of bread. Let’s just say, I know what I meant — I think it’s time for a new paragraph. Just to the left of the till, you’ll see in the display a selection of fruit danishes. I suggest trying these. Not all of them mind you, because then you’ll have no space for dinner– but perhaps try one. I recommend the apricot one. But Apple and Cherry are also fine. The tea here is twinings tea bags, in pretty standard cups — but for some reason, it just seems to taste real nice. Why that is, I don’t know. Maybe it is psychology. Yep, in fact, that’s it, the tea bags have had extensive psychotherapy. They also do mad-great pizza slices here. Like, it’ll say ‘ham pizza’ — but when you eat it, it has broccoli, mushroom, bagel, etc– just seemingly loads of random stuff in it. But they’re great, the pizza slices that is. There are no bits of broccoli in the plain bagels though. The staff are pretty good too, and begin knowing your orders by maybe your third visit, which is quite remarkable, especially if you turn up in disguise and they still know you want the apple tart. Overall, pretty splendid.

Newly opened in the pleasant area of Belsize Park, this bakery-pattiserie-coffee shop adds a fresh and delightful touch to morning senses. The simplicity and vibrancy of a modern interior design is also enhanced by omnipresent messages of well-being, like: Birthdays are good for you. Statistics show that those having lots of them live a long life. or Happiness is nothing more than good health and bad memory. and the velvety voice of Norah Jones Truly brought a smile on my face –while savouring a delicious blue-cheese, mushrooms & broccoli tart and a fine cappuccino. Bread and pastries are all freshly baked. Prices are reasonable and the service is attentive. Outside tables also available for those shiny days
