If your looking for great service and great food, this is a great place to start. It’s in the Connaught Hotel and like the Hotel it excels in answering any request including off menu items. We showed up with a baby, asked for steam salmon, plain rice(and we asked them to change the rice on the menu) and we had only 30 minutes to eat. The Black Chicken isn’t Black but it is fantastic. The skin is stuffed with onions and morels and its served on a bed of white asparagus and cream potato. Fish and Chips was executed flawlessly. The staff is friendly, always present but never overbearing, and knowledgeable. Come here when your day isn’t going well, when you need every rediculous whom taken care of, when you want simple food excellently prepared and when only perfect service will do. It’s not cheap but sometimes money doesn’t matter. It’s not the Helene Daroz and its not likely to get a Michelin star but I’ve never left unsatisfied or disappointed. Oh yes and the high Tea is absolutely delightful.

Staying at hotel so figure I would give it a shot. Its a lovely location, restaurant and service is great but after you take one bite of food you will realize why the restaurant is empty. I got the burata and fish and chips. The burrata was a soupy mess. The fish and chip was clearly frozen and probably the cheapest option from whatever premade food company they use. It tasted like old rubber deep friend and served with 4 french fries. The meal came out to 60 pounds with the«tap water», that apparently cost 6 pounds. Avoid if you have taste buds.

Went there for an afternoon tea and let’s be honest… It was very expensive compare to the other 5* hotels… The service was good but the place and the food were more than average. The desert were not fresh. For £45, it’s not worth it…
