Stopped here for a coffee and a quiet place to read late morning. Coffee was great — and then the hordes descended. This is a cheap place to grab what looks like a very good thin crust Italian style pizza. Tiny place, a bit awkward to sit and eat, there are more seats in the basement — but it’s a cozy spot no matter how you look at it. May come back for the pizza, cool little place.

Pro tip: if you’re working in the area, you can get a coffee with a free croissant for about £2.20 every morning. Such a good deal, but a quick way to an ever increasing waistline. Once it hits lunchtime, don’t expect to be getting your Weight Watchers on in here. They offer thin and crispy takeaway pizzas for £3.50 and up. A whole margarita pizza for that price cannot be beat. I’m never a big fan of the toppings here as they just kind of slop them on, so stick with the basics.

I’m definitely a fan of this place even if it’s not quite perfect. The pizzas are excellent: fresh, prepared quickly and from £3.50 for a takeaway Margherita, the best value in the area(more exotic pizzas are around the £5 mark). Also available are paninis and various desserts, none of which I can comment on as I haven’t tried them. Service is relatively quick, but where ECCO falls down is the rather clinical décor and uncomfortable-after-five-minutes chairs and stools. This is why, though a fan, it’s only somewhere I visit occasionally rather than frequently.

Crowded, and not the most pleasant place to actually eat your lunch, but if you have somewhere to take your food, it’s not a bad spot for some pizza. The baguettes looked good as well — I believe they’ll toast them for you if you want it hot(I was particularly curious about a guy’s pepperoni baguette). Chocolate muffin was dry, except in the very middle, so I wouldn’t bother with desserts here.

Very good pizza dough — ciabatta like texture and comparable to higher end establishments. The toppings are okay — could be better but for the price, excellent value indeed(£4.75 for an eat-in pizza freshly baked to order and the size of a large dinner plate). Really friendly staff.

This place is called Ecco. Only been here once so far but will definitely make the 15 minute stroll from Victoria again. £4 gets you a decent sized freshly made pizza. Not much room to eat in(plus that will cost you an extra 50p or so), so take away is the best option. I went for the special, which was Parma ham, artichokes and olives. Very tasty, and very fresh — they make the pizzas right there to order. Worth a visit if you are in the area and fancy a quick pizza on the go.

I must say that I have gone slightly off Pizzas recently, but before this we were regulars at ECCO. At £3 for an 11″ this will probably be the cheapest pizza that you will ever eat in London. But rather than being stale and tasteless, each pizza is freshly handmade and tastes like it is striaght out of Italy, thin crispy base, piping hot and fresh toppings. They do have a table or two in the café, so if you are too hungry to control yourself you can eat in but the café does have a rather sterile and impersonal ambiance, much better to take away.

This place probably sells the cheapest pizzas in London! Prices start from £3.50 for a generously-sized good-tasting Margherita. Lots of ciabattas, pastries and cakes on offer too. You can eat in or take away — I’d recommend going to St James’ Park just down the road.
