friendly, fun, creative, exciting, engaging… i love the art and i love their heart.
during today deptford they invited the local senior citizens for free tea rooms food servicing. when edit/​select wanted to make a video this was the ideal location and whenever a venue with the rocklands vibe is required, this is a place i love to be.
the old cop shop is great for students, local community, mcs and bands alike — it’s dirty cop night last fridays of the month. get off at new cross station and walk two minutes down the hill!

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be in prison? Even for a day? Then head down to The Old 1912 Police Station in Deptford.
What was once a police station has been converted into a «do-​it-​yourself» art centre. They have an array of art collections of «themes of isolation, estrangement and global conflict». They also host monthly music events and exhibitions.
Everything is intact with it’s periodic touch; the hall, interview room, solitary confinment (my fav part) and prison cells. They also have a vintage style tea room where you can relax and unwind after a long day.
The good thing about this place is that the entrance is free!
You can also hire out the venue if you would like to host events or gigs.
