Ever since my trip to Marrakech I have developed a new appreciation for a good tagine so having the chance to visit this newly refurbished restaurant/shisha bar was great. I went there on Saturday afternoon for dinner. We had the lamb and the kofta tagines, the kofta was amazing, the lamb was ok but felt a little bit under seasoned. As sides we got the dolma and the calamari. The dolmas melted in your mouth and were pretty good(served warm as they should be). The calamari was a bit harder to chew so as a Greek person I would rate it ok but nothing great. The side sauce the starters came with was great though. After the food we decided to try the cocktails. I had the Guilty which tasted like alcoholic dessert, so right up my street, and I also tried the fireman, good for whiskey drinkers bit not really my cup of tea. In terms of atmosphere I think the restaurant tries to be more posh than it is but the massive screens with the football on everywhere you look are incongruous with the atmosphere they are trying to create. There is also a semi– outside area for shisha which feels more Moroccan but it was full of football fans and smoke. In general I think it’s good enough but maybe not as authentic as it could have been and it could do with a few more authentic Moroccan dishes in the menu.

For years now, this is my shisha spot on Edgware Road. Forget everything else around, the fact that this is a refurbished pub so alcohol is available as well as a private shisha area in the back, I’m a happy chappy! The staff have always looked after me(most obvs because I was like their weekly bringing a gang with me each time lol). Their food is lovely and shisha is BOOM. It’s the only place where parting with my money is okay for the experience — considering how expensive one is in Central London. From Irn Bru to Skittles, they’ve got a crazy range of flavours and so expect this place to always be busy. The sooner you get here, the better. Oh and I went here for New Years since they held an event, I danced my socks off in the later hours at this but it was so packed, my granny self probably can’t handle it anymore: D

Amazing vibes. The belly dancer was a good source of entertainment. Almost a club vibe going on with the music. Really reasonable price £15 for shisha isn’t bad at all.

For the price, this place is excellent! We went just for food, and it didn’t disappoint. I had the lamb tagine, which was sweet and savory, just like a lamb tagine should be. My wife had the chicken taginew which was nice and savory. Excellent flavor from both. The service can be a bit slow, but the food more than made up for it.

This place is fantastic. I arrived around 10pm and wanted 3 things: something to eat, something to drink, and some relaxed hookah with friends. Dar Marrakesh delivered on all 3 fronts: great food(I had shish taouk), a massive glass of wine, and amazing watermelon shisha on an outdoor open terrace. I came on a Thursday night and there was a fun mix of Arabic, Hindi, and bad American pop songs on offer for international karaōke. Really fun spot on Edgware Road. I expect I’ll be back.

This place is great, definitely very different compared to other shisha cafes in and around London. It feels like a community when you come here because everyone is so friendly. It has a young vibe, great music, buzzing atmosphere and has all the ingredients for an amazing night out for any weekend. I’ve actually visited this place quite a lot, and did do my birthday party here. The staff are very helpful, and really friendly. I’ve started to become quite a regular and they all know my name which makes you feel very welcomed. Excellent customer service. They serve good quality morrocan food, and also have a lively bar which on the weekend makes a good alternative to going to a London club. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone, during the week its perfect for a quiet drink or a good meal at great value. On the weekend its a great alternative to clubbing. Love this place!
