It’s back. And it’s kicking hard. Recently taken over by 4 friends who are locals and wanted to revive their neighbourhood pub, this is the absolute«you can be yourself and everyone’s friendly» pub. Friendly locals? Check. A jamming jukebox? Check. Great beers on draught at local prices? Check check. There’s everything to love about this place, including its sweet interior deco complete with pool table and dart board. Come on in!

Drawn in by the sign that said«Your Local», I thought I might take a load off, enjoy a pint and rest my feet. It’s a nice pub with a fruit machine, a snooker table(on the small side) and a long bar with a whole lot of bottles of spirits as well as beers, wines, crisps and bags of nuts. There was a sign out front that said«guest ales» but I didn’t see anything on offer other than the usual mass-produced Guinness, Fosters, etc. My pint of Stella was £4. Some tables out front as well as in a sun room, the inside of the place is a little dark with red-tinted lights. Lots of tables and benches for small groups and larger size parties. One television hanging from the ceiling showing Formula One. According to Wikipedia, Sir Daniel Gooch,(1816 – 1889) was an English railway and transatlantic cable engineer and Conservative politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1865 to 1885.
