Absolute rubbish. Cold, watery, utter crap.
Probably the worst curry I’ve ever had; and I’m a Brit living Stateside so that’s saying something.

Fast, cheap, and very decent for the price. Like others mentioned, don’t let appearances put you off. This place has a constant stream of local clientele. I ordered an okra curry and got a huge plate with rice and a small salad included (at least at lunch, don’t know about dinner). All other Indian places I have been to in London charge for the curry and then for the rice, so it was a nice surprise; for just under 5 pounds I got probably about 2 pounds of food! The guys running the place were friendly without being obnoxious and the service is prompt. If I lived nearby this would probably be one of my base feeding grounds.

Small toko style place… the owner said his sister makes all the food and it tasted quite authentic. We tried several appetizers, curry, and more! The staff was super friendly and you could watch them bake the naan. Everything was very tasty and I would definitely go back! We did spend about 22 pounds, but that’s only because we ordered a lot of food to try it all :) Great little place!

We were wandering around Bethnal Green and looking for something cheap, delicious, and fast. I hesitated at the shop door, but my friend pushed me inside.
Appearances can be deceiving because all I have to say is WOW. We chatted with the owner, who was so welcoming and friendly that us Yanks felt right at home. The lady sitting behind us was just finishing up her meal and could not stop complimenting the chef. «Best curry in the city,» she said again and again. I turned to ask what she ordered, but our meal had arrived.
The chicken karahi was the perfect blend of spice, tender chunks of meat, and thick, creamy sauce. They also served a cool cabbage, cucumber and tomato salad to accompany the main dishes. I had to restrain myself from licking the plate!
We were tempted to order take-​out the following day, but sadly, our schedule didn’t allow for it. Next time I’m in London, I will head straight to Curry 2000 for my Indian food fix.

I enjoyed this cheap and tasty place.
Of course, I need to come back here sober. Not sure if I enjoyed the food cause I was drunk and anything would have tasted nice: p
But you can’t beat the price!

Taking a look in from the outside, you wouldn’t expect it to be either good or tasty, but it’s actually both! Yes they do use heating lights and a buffet-​style under the glass bucket thing, but the curry itself is well cooked and there is genuine difference between the dishes. perfectly located if you go to the star next door and come out after a few too many!
