This place has a proper beer garden which I cannot wait to try out when the weather is warmer! There are a lot of tables, lots of plants and generally a nice place to be! Inside, the decoration and style is great. It’s a big pub but manages to stay cosy at the same time. Haven’t tried the food but heard from a friend that it was okay. As well as their pub food, they also do Sunday Roasts. Drinks prices are average for London. We went in on a week night and we were easily able to find a table and enjoy a conversation. I really liked it in here so will be back for drinks!

The garden. Oh, the garden. It’s the most beautifully patio-tastic place to sit and have a drink on a sunny day! Absolutely gobs of seating, lots of big umbrellas to provide a bit of shade, plants everywhere, and attentive service. Located just across from Wandsworth Common as it is, The County Arms is a gem!

I haven’t been there for a while. They have decorated the place and changed some furniture. It looks good. There is a section at the back. My friend booked it for her leaving due. Usually other pubs will charge you or ask you for a minimum spend. Here, they just asked you for a deposit. I like the food. Great burgers and lovely hand cut chips. It’s kids friendly. The room at the back has got fake grass. Ideal for toddlers. My little girl has done her first steps there 2 days ago!

Great pub rain or shine and they have a lovely function room upstairs.

Haven’t been here for a while and boy, has it changed. Used to be a regular, but moved away. Went back recently and it has transformed into a super cool place with a serious kitchen. At least I think it’s a serious kitchen. The menu looks great and saw some food going out that looked excellent, but when I tried to order, they told me that the kitchen was now closed. Why? Was I too late? Nope, it was only 7pm. Turns out, they clean the kitchen on Sunday nights at 7 so it’s closed. What the!!! You don’t close the damn kitchen on a Sunday evening to clean it, you do that when the place is closed! It’s funny how a place can look so cool and upmarket while still reminding one of an episode of Falty Towers. Having said that, the place looks great apart from this lunacy and they have Young’s beer, which is great. There’s also a cool room at the back that looks all Eastern(like an add for Fry’s Turkish Delight!)

Popped in here for a quick pint yesterday afternoon and was very taken with it. The interior is very nicely decorated(muted greens, oak panels etc.) and very spacious. The sort of place that you murmer approval of before you realise you’re doing so. It’s a tied house(to Youngs) and so stocks a wide range of their products, both hand pulled and bottled, but also seems to have the freedom to offer guest ales as well(Deuchars IPA is appearing soon apparently). The wines available all looked to be of very high quality too. I quick glance at the Specials board was enough to make me regret I wasn’t staying for food and then my seat in the beer garden(accessed via the«Moroccan boudoir» as mentioned below) added to that by making me wish to have a few more pints in the sunshine. I resisted temptation however but am keen to return and give in to it. Have now eaten dinner here and the service was very attentive. The«Dine With Wine» deal they currently have on is good value for money and I enjoyed my fish and chips although the watery mushy peas let the side down somewhat.

Love it! My new local pub couldn’t be more gorgeous. A big old pub, it is multi-level, with a stunning modern-asian-inspired dining room, front main lounge, function room, beer garden and street seating. Recently refurbed. Black leather lounges, deep red and dark wood interior and a gorgeous, gorgeous bar. We found ourselves wishing that this was our home! Situated right on Wandsworth Common, you could spend your afternoon lazing on the green or in the beer garden, and cross the road to adjourn to the pub lounge. Specials board is impressive and inventive. Try Lamb rolled in lavender; Duck breast in cranberry juice; Pork Chops with Apple Mash. Standard fare also available, like Gammon, Chips and egg; burgers, etc. Prices tend to be high-end but the atmosphere and cosiness of the place make it worth it. Service was fab, with bar staff keen to know how your meals are. A good place to meet up with a group of friends and relax over beers and great food! Bus 219 takes you to tooting bec tube in 20 mins, otherwise it’s a 20 minute walk to Earlsfield(or take 77) or Clapham Junction overland stations.

This is a spacious, welcoming and relaxing pub, popular with locals, with a large beer garden that’s great in the summer. It used to be a total dive, but it’s been transformed into a nicely decorated space, with tea lights on the tables and seagrass on the floor. It’s even got a Moroccan boudoir at the back where my husband and I enjoyed a very romantic night on Valentine’s Day! The food is mostly good, although it’s been a bit hit and miss on a couple of occasions. I recall an evening where we had to send the fish pie back because it was still cold! Having said that though, the staff are extremely friendly and you always get very good service. The atmosphere is friendly and they have a regular quiz night on Tuesdays which is great fun. Upstairs is a large function room which comes with its own private bar. We hired it out for a party for all our friends last year — sixty of us sat down for a buffet dinner, and great fun was had by all.
