I’m giving the cost less express a 3 stars(not a 1 star) for only three reasons. Three reasons = three stars, geddit? 1) One of the guys who works here is really friendly(note, everyone else who works here is not, so don’t expect a conversation). 2. It’s open 24 hours, and that’s mighty convenient when it’s your local shop 3. It has a huge abundance of alcohol and ice cream, both of which I can appreciate. However — this shop annoys the hell out of me on at least a weekly basis. First of all — it looks a state — you’ll often find a big hole in the ceiling, or the door hanging off, or water all over the floor. Oh, and one time the building was ACTUALLYONFIRE but did they close the shop, hell no they did not. They let people walk in and out of the shop whilst it was full of smoke whilst the fire brigade put it out around the back. Hmm. Bad business ethics, peeps. The second thing that winds me up to high hell is that stuff in here has very often gone off. Please god check the best before date on stuff before you buy it — even if it’s a pint of milk. Several times I’ve taken pints home only to open the lid and find it’s turned into yoghurt which smells like it was taken from the cow in 1977. And finally the third thing — the prices in here are so bizarre. Yes, you can get a bottle of vino for under a fiver, or cheese for a quid, but that tin of baked beans? 3.99. Ketchup? Even more.
