I’m not a fan of hairdressers… In fact I used to have something of a phobia. This lead to my teenage«well I’m hairy so I may as well be a Goth» years; as I grew older however I girded my loins, gritted my teeth and put up with random strangers wielding sharp steel millimetres from my ears for the sake of respectability, employment and the vaguest chance of having a relationship with a member of the opposite sex(okay, just the opposite sex then). In a nutshell, I’m still not entirely happy in the barber’s chair. In Contrasti however I do now feel comfortable, the atmosphere is relaxed, the staff friendly and chatty enough(without wittering inanely) and the haircuts are pretty damn snazzy. All in all this would be a 5 star establishment if and only if I could quite justify paying thirty quid for getting my swiftly disappearing barnet wrangled into shape… Hmm… Perhaps I should see if they can come to some sort of per hair arrangement.
