An almost empty pub when we got there but was pretty crammed when we left.
Really liked it as it looked pretty authentic to me. Will not argue about the beer as being German. After the first round someone luckily decided to switch me to something that actually has some carbon dioxide in it :)
Will be here again I think…

Feierabend-​Bierchen mit Kollegen. Sie hatten was ausgesucht und ich bin einfach hinterher getrabt. In der Straße hätte ich alles vermutet aber keine Kneipe…
Macht nix, war gut, so wie man sich einen englischen Pub vorstellt. Als wir ankamen waren wir noch allein, als wir gingen, war die Hütte voll.
Über’s Bier braucht man mit den Jungs nicht diskutieren… Kohlensäure? Ham’ wa nich’…
Nach der ersten Runde bin ich auf ein Bier mit Schaum ‘gewechselt worden’, das war auch ganz gut so.
War ein toller Abend, den wir mit Sicherheit wiederholen werden.

Another lovely British pub that draws a half decent crowd and is almost always busy. By day there’s afew locals around and in the earl eve there’s a lot of office workers.

This is an excellent city pub within spitting distance of the old Royal Exchange and the Bank of England. You can’t see it from from Threadneedle Street or Cornhill so it’s one of those… you have to know about it places. They sell Shepherd Neame beers and with the location being what it is, it is very popular with staff from the Bank and other nearby companies. It’s a very well run place but city commuters being what they are, it is often empty by 10pm and shuts early.
