Friendly, prompt service. No complaints. Note: the hours noted on Unilocal are not always right. I’ve showed up when they were supposed to be open(according to Unilocal), and they weren’t.

The charge was 15.50 for a small bag of laundry, next day service by 4:30. This struck me as very expensive for such a small quantity, and slow, but there weren’t any other nearby options(other than coin-ops). The next day, I wasn’t able to pick up, so I went in late the following morning. I was told that there was a problem with the order, and that I should come in by the end of the day. So, it was now two-day service. I politely told them no(because I was traveling and needed the clothes immediately). 30 minutes later, the clothes showed up. No explanation. No discount. 1 star.

Okay, haven’t been yet. But when you’ve called a few joints and asked for the cost of hemming trousers in central London, you’ll understand my glee. £9! Not £10.95 or worse still £12, but only £9! Now, I know that there are probably cheaper alterations available in Greater London. But I’d rather not commute any further than work for my alterations. That being said, if you all know of a cheaper place for simple hemming in WC2 or SW6, give this shortie a shout. Will update once I go in with my enormously long black linen trousers.

This place is efficient, effective and the staff are friendly. There is really no reason not to give it 5 stars. You are greeted by one of two people, both who remember and value their return customers. They will ask when YOU want it, not when they can have it ready. I am never in a rush, so i generally just tell them whatever is convenient for them – never more than two days. Prices are reasonable – not sure of the exact cost breakdown, but for my last order: press 2 piece suit, clean and press slacks, clean two jumpers, clean and press four dress shirts, and clean, press and replace two buttons on a blazer… roughly 32 pounds. Seems fair to me. Between pressing suits, dry cleaning shirts and jumpers, it is all done with quality and care. Definitely recommended. P. S. They also do major repairs and alterations.
