Chutney Palate

Not a good curry. Trust me. I grew up in Bradford for 20 years, so have tasted pure nectar curry. This doesn’t even get into the same league. It’s one of the worst curries I’ve had to be honest.
This tasted like instant gravy, kinda like Bisto. Really, really odd and unpalatable. It’s expensive too.
They get 2 stars because delivery was prompt and the food was hot.

A truly Indian restaurant.
I visited this place with a native Indian friend of mine and he said that the food here tasted just like his mom’s cooking. We had the tandoori chicken wings and mixed vegetable curry, which both tasted delicious. The chicken was very crunchy and at the same time tender, spiced just the right way. Even though I’m not really into spicy food I liked the way it was prepared. The staff were all very welcoming and polite. When they found out, that I don’t usually eat spicy food instead of making fun of me they assured me that my dish will be prepared with less spices, but still it wasn’t too bland.
The atmosphere in the restaurant was also very good. The place was very well decorated in a traditional Indian style, without the usual overdoing it.
I had such a great experience there that a week later I decided to order from this restaurant. The food tasted just as delicious and they have even remembered who I was and asked if I would like my food less spiced than the usual one. How amazing is that!
Overall a great Indian restaurant that I recommend to everyone, who likes to pay for good service and great food.

Great little restaurant with friendly staff & a delicious menu selection. We had Lamb Shashlick, Lamb Tikka Masalla, Mushroom Rice & Nan. All dishes were delicious & served quickly! The restaurant operates a Bring-​Your-​Own drinks policy. The only thing stopping me giving it a 5 stars is that it was a little cool inside for ideal comfort. However it was 0*C outside. Great all round!

Chutney Palate has taken over as our regular take-​away. They’re always friendly and fast, and were very attentive when we ate in as well. Enjoyed the lassi and the lamb curries. The more novel chutneys are a nice touch. They’ve added more specials to the menu recently which I intend to investigate further.
