If your looking for an average place to grab a quick lunch then Chozen is the place to go.
I always eat the same thing, red thai curry and noodles, it is really yummy. The food comes in two sizes regular that gets served in a box or large that’s in a bigger pot. (I think regular is the right amount of food, im always full by the end not wanting more, my
collouge disagrees and he always go for a large.
I have also had the king prawns in breadcrumbs, I do not rate them, there nothing special just taste like a fish finger. The chicken gyoza is fab!
I love eating out of a box with chop sticks. It reminds me of American films.

I live near this spot and have always seen it busy. I thought I would one day try it — it was one of the few times I just gave up on a meal and threw it away.
I have not tried anything other than their hot food but to be honest, I wouldn’t. There is no way a place can offer such horrible food and be okay in anyway shape or form. A restaurant, no matter how informal, should take pride in its product. This is clearly not the case here.
Just for transparency — I had the chicken teriakye and noodles.

I was happy with Chozen especially considering every restaurant around headed twice the cost. There is nothing more modernly gifting to the visitor than a VISIBLE menu. It tastes even better than it looks. So if it doesn’t look good to you, just don’t get it! Perfect for tourists on a tight timeline.

What’s happening Chozen?
Not a huge fan of their hot food but their bento boxes are really good! Would buy a Chicken Katsu one or the Salmon one when I didn’t have time to cook. However, the portion sides have gotten smaller and smaller… such that it isn’t worth it anymore. The portions for the hot food seem small to me too. Overall tastes good but portions getting smaller for the same price? Not cool!

I ate here last week as I needed something
to warm me up before heading home on Thursday night. I was told about this
place by a colleague of mine, who usually complains about everything! I plumped
for a hot meal as it was freezing outside, Katsu curry with white rice and a
side of chicken teriyaki, dellllisssshhh! The guy who served me was charming
and efficient. I dont recall how much I spent, so it couldn’t have hurt too
much! Next time, I’m going to try their sushi. Well done Chozen!

writing this as im finishing my chicken in black bean sauce, with white rice. DISGUSTING! the black bean sauce had kidney beans in it (!) and was far too sweet, the rice was undercooked and lumpy, and i had 3 chiicken gyoza which were ok. but over all for £6.95 i feel ripped off! there is a fresher, nicer thai stall about 3 minutes walk away beside the post office– GO THERE!
