Chopstix Noodle Bar

I definitely feel that this establishment deserves a little better than some of the lower reviews posted. They offer you rice or noodles and an entrée for 5 pounds (medium) or the same and two entrees (large) for 5 pounds, 50 pence. From the looks of it, another entrée for just 50 pence is a steal since the size of the boxes isn’t significant. Realistically, authenticity can only truly be a given in the country of the dish’s origin (even then there’s always some dispute or another). There are also places that are decent and places not so decent in each city for any given cuisine, though it is ultimately the individuals taste that carries a huge weight in rating a restaurant. I ordered rice with salt and pepper chicken and potato curry and I thought that it was really worth the price and I wasn’t hungry for a while. It is a good quantity of food served quickly for those who are having difficulty deciding with all the cafes and pubs in the area as well.

My family and I are visiting London once again. We were walking around the V&A and soon we were hungry. I was in the mood for chinese and we passed by this place.
The food looked good through the window so i ordered the vegetable noodles and egg fried rice. My folks ordered the thai chicken and vegetable noodles, and the sweet and spicy and again the vegetable noodles. The noodles were kind of greasy and tastless. I think it had been sitting out for a while. I liked the spicy chicken but the rest of the family didn’t think so.
The lady who served us was foreign and wasn’t really polite. The cashier was very nice though. And since it’s a point and choose restaurant like Panda Express in the states, the waiting time was nothing.
The place looked good, some of the tables needed to be clean but otherwise not a bad looking place.

Since I am American, we have some of the best Chinese around (At least I think so). Looks like it didn’t come over here. It was mediocre. If you are visiting and you are REALLY hungry, go for this place, otherwise I would pass on this.

Good food for good price and fast.

To be honest we should have known better. One of those places with noodles and ‘chinese style’ dishes sitting under hot lights for hours.
Chicken noodles were greasy and tasteless. ‘Thai’ chicken curry was devoid of any of the bright clean flavours normally associated with the genre. Instead it tasted of burnt curry powder. Other dishes were of the ‘sweet gloop’ variety.
You get two dishes for £5 and three dishes for £5.50 which may seem reasonable until you realise that you have just forked out over a tenner for possibly the worst food you have ever been served.
Avoid — these people deserve to go out of business.

Disgusting and tasteless.

Hole in the wall noodle bar that offered just one fairly greasy and tasteless noodle dish served in a box with a choice of several hot meat and poultry dishes swimming in overly sweet or overly flavored sauces and what appeared to be an overly large and greasy looking spring roll. No smile, no enthusiasm. So underwhelming they sucked my will to write more.

On my way back home from a drinks event, I realised I hadn’t really eaten anything the whole day, so — pretty ravenous — I chanced on this handy stop-​off point for a quick, convenient snack. The fat spring rolls in the window drew me in when I discovered (happily) that they were vegetarian, I bought one. At just £1, it was satisfyingly filling and hot, packed with nicely-​crispy veg and luckily not too greasy to spoil my enjoyment or be indigestible.
The choice wasn’t massive here, better for carnivores than veggies (or fish eaters) seeking a main course. Service came with a smile — although the person who served and wrapped the food also took the money and used the till — I’m never too sure about that on the hygiene front. There are several tables with seating (in quite a basic setting) or choose to pop-​in and select speedy food-​to-​go.
