Avoid! Pleasant enough when buying from them but if you’re unfortunate enough to have to take something back for a refund good luck! Hefty ‘restocking’ fee(putting a knob back in a bowl) and enormous attitude about it. Extremely rude. Worst experience of renovating our house. 20% restocking fee not mentioned when purchasing despite us explaining that we were deliberately buying too many to see them in the home surroundings. Totally dishonest and still had to argue even for the refund minus the restocking fee. AVOID. Unfortunately no function to award zero stars.

Doorknobs galore! Who knew that mere handles and latches could take on the appearance of buried treasure if only treated like prized baubles? This store makes you contemplative about cabinet fittings and all other apparatus used to open doors and drawers… you suddenly see the beautiful potential in that which was formerly only utilitarian and mundane. The variations run the gamut… crystal, brass, carved wood and stone… the abundant myriad of options glinting and glittering at you in stacks throughout the store is a site not to be confused with Ali Baba’s cave. The prices may seem expensive for mere hardware, but I assure you, they are actually reasonable for the quality and splendor of the pieces you are getting in return. But there’s more than just sparkling and unusual knolls of knobs… there are mirrors and light fixtures that twinkle with a similar colourful allure. This is a really fun store to explore — guaranteed to make you think twice about that handle on your door.

Exquisite door knobs, Victorian tiles, antique ornaments and home fittings fill this shop in abundance. If beautiful home décor is your thing, you will find copious antiquities unlike anywhere else. You can pick up some bargains here, but you could also end up forking out for an unusual piece of history. An antiques shop that manages not to feel like an antiques shop. It reminds me more of Indian antique selling shops than anything in London, and for that it is unique and wonderfully special.
