Stopped there after training for a glad of red. Wine selection is good. Service is excellent: they made us feel like princesses and even offer you chips. What else?

The worst service in London. I think they must hire staff (and not enough of them) from the ranks of the registered blind.
That said, the food is good.

I went there on a Thursday night just to have drinks, but we ended up staying for dinner. The staff was really friendly, the ambiance was also great. But most importantly I have to say that I had one of the best meals in a while (and I have been frequenting restaurants quite a lot lately). I had the cod, and it was just perfect. So tasty, and just the right size. I am definitely coming back to have it again.

So ETM group has a bunch of fantastic restaurants in London, and they do what they do really well: classic interior, delicious food, excellent service.
CSDR is another one of these, and it nails it. I came here for a quick lunch a little while back and then just did a tasting of the Bright Food Fortnight Meal and both, quality. Specifically the meat dishes, they nail locally produced meat done in delicious and filling ways.
It’s a quiet space, elegant, nothing flashy or chic but, again, classic. And the service is just on point. The staff here on both occasions were excellent and friendly.
It’s a good meal, consistently, and that’s all you can ask of a place sometimes.

Great spot for quality food late night. One of the few spots in this area I’ve found that serves dinner late. Quinoa salad and steak tartare were excellent.

Really nice business lunch. Food was great. I had a lovely cold spring pea soup and a huge quinoa salad. Friend also had a soup and a half lobster. My choice looked better. Reservations were at noon and we were the only people dining. By 1pm it was packed a lively. It can be a little loud so I would dine on the early side if you don’t like loud. Atmosphere is really nice and modern.

Had a company Christmas dinner here. Food was awful, especially vegetarian.

I thought this restaurant was excellent! I was taken here by family friends and had an absolutely wonderful dining experience. Aside from the beautiful presentation, the food was excellent and the portions were on point. I will be coming back here shortly with my boyfriend for sure!

Popped in for a quick drink in their bar as we wanted to try this place and were nearby, before heading off to meet friends for dinner. We got some drinks plus a plate of scallops with bacon. The sweetness of the scallops was perfectly complemented by the saltiness of the bacon. Very busy and tables quite close in bar area. Will return to try the menu in their restaurant.

Very underwhelmed.
I ate alone in the bar last night, nice australian girl took my order, just a burger and a beer.
Burger was ok, but the chips were anemic and underdone, I asked for them to go back to the kitchen for finishing, what came back was a disgrace, it looked like they had been put in a microwave, they were inedible, how can you get chips so wrong.
Kitchen should not have let themselves down so badly. I cannot advise anyone to visit after this experience

Had an excellent business lunch here recently with a prospective client (table of 2), we were seated at 12:30 on a Friday. The venue was humming, but not packed. However, by the time we left, the place was full to capacity. I booked on Tuesday evening without an hassle. For lunch, I would recommend calling in advance to avoid disappointment.
I ordered the Roast fillet of Peterhead cod, which was excellent. I didn’t want anything heavy as I had some important meetings in the afternoon, which would not have gone well had I been sluggish. Despite the intention to be tempered, we were both tempted by the Dark chocolate pave with salted caramel ice cream, which was delicious.
The food came promptly and the service was adequate. I thought the fare was good value for money.
The atmosphere and style was as you would hope for the City, tasteful with a touch of elegance; however, not pretentious or elitist. It was comfortable and appropriate.
For professionals looking for a business lunch venue, you will be very well catered for.

Elegant but not snobby atmosphere. Very good food and friendly and attentive service. Humongous oysters that were yummy. Our steak for 2 was prepared very well. I left this place feeling happy :-)

Had an awesome three course meal here with Mrs K and some coupley friends (hmm.we seem to have a lot of these!), on the day that Jim Gandolfini died. I used that as an excuse to eat a ridiculously sized meal.
My steak was actually dreamy, and the recommended wine for it was pretty perfectly matched. Dinner was pricey but we knew that beforehand, and didnt mind too much as the food was wonderful, as was the service: attentive, but not pushy.
Dessert also kicked arse!
Would I come back? Yes, for a special dinner (post-​graduation/​birthday etc).

The creative foie gras terrine (with a berry brioche and gingerbread macaroon) and pea risotto were incredible. The presentation, the quality, the food– all fantastic! My favorite meal in a long long time.
The worst part of the meal was the service. Our waiter had a bad attitude and was very inattentive. And one of the people at my table found a small fly in his cappuccino. Probably not the fault of the restaurant’s, but still… I feel like they should’ve done something to make up for the gross factor.
I would be happy to give them a five star rating if the service wasn’t so bad!

Seems to be closed on weekends.

I was very pleased with our lunch here. The service was top-​notch — attentive and happy to deal with our requests. The price for the roast beef Sunday roast was on the higher side, but I enjoyed it. The beef was pink, the potatoes had a nice crunch and the yorkshires were crispy. The list of desserts looked good, but we were too full this time! Maybe we will try them on our next visit.

I was brought here for a group dinner during a recent trip to London. The service was very attentive to all of our needs, and all courses of the meal rate a 5 star. Chiswell Street Dining Rooms is a modern British restaurant and cocktail bar that is conveniently located in Moorgate (near the Barbican tube station).
I thoroughly enjoyed a Scottish Lobster and King Prawn Risotto (£19), with the Rocket and Parmesan Salad (£3.50). I would highly recommend both. We also enjoyed an Australian Unoaked Chardonnay, Waterstone Bridge, Victoria 2008 (£25) which certainly exceeded my expectations. For dessert, you don’t want to miss the Classic British Knickerbocker Glory Coupe with poached peaches, blackberries, vanilla custard, raspberry coulis, strawberry ice cream, & Chantilly cream (£8.50).
All of these dishes were excellent, the ambience was quite enjoyable for a group dinner in a modern setting. The vibe was very pleasant and comfortable for our group, even though we visited at a seemingly quite busy time. 5 stars!!!
