Chicken Shop

One of my fav so far, i came here twice and will come again hopefully, if not for the chicken, def for the pie. Who ever i invite here falls in love with the food. Super tasty! Its very casual and good for groups, very friendly staff and simple straight forward menu.

Great chicken and sides. Pretty cheap and cheerful.
Recommend this place. It’s easy to miss as it’s a nondescript door with a sign outside. You get a good whiff of the nail salon on the way in and then it’s an open space downstairs, albeit a bit dark.
Good, friendly service, with a real simple and straight forward menu. We ordered a half chicken with fries, coleslaw and corn on the cob. All were delicious. I tried a bit of the hot sauce and it was spicy! Similar to the sauces at Nando’s.
I wish there was more natural light, but that’s minor. They open till midnight on Friday and Saturday! I like this place a lot and will be back.

its like a posh nandos. limited menu only serving chicken in different portions but in this case you are glad it narrows down the choice as te chicken is as good as it gets, the meat is amazing and complemented well by the sides (garlic corn, butter lettuce and avo salad and crinkly fries).
I LOVED the way they displayed the wine (good, better, best) i went for middle of the range and my glass came out in a mini carafe which was another nice touch.
good for dates and/​or groups — definitely will be returning!

Aptly named the Chicken Shop, this place is worthy of visiting to eat some well cooked chicken. The chicken is not dry and is well complemented by the Chicken Shop Smoky Sauce. The crinkle chips are satisfyingly chunky and crisp, the salad is tasty with avocado and dressing and the apple pie is freshly made and a nice way to top the meal off. A slight let down is the limited variety on the menu for both food and drink and the limited variety of sauces or flavours. On the whole, a good hearty meal but a bit one-​dimensional.
