Good bubble tea shop located in Camden market. Beware the £4 credit card minimum!

Nom nom nom nom nom! I come to Chaboba whenever I’m in Camden. The honeydew milk tea here is too sweet for me which is sad because it’s my favourite. However, the mango tea is super good, and the tapioca is nice and chewy but still with nice give. The price has gone up from previous reviews, around £3.20 if I can remember correctly, so about the price of other bubble teas sadly :( Definitely not the BEST bubble tea in London, since my preferred drink is not as good as other places, but you can certainly do worse, and if you’re in the area it’s worth it to make a pitstop.

Having a bubble tea place in Camden is a great idea however I was a bit underwhelmed by the Traditional Taiwanese(original) milk tea I ordered. Granted it was good but for some reason it tasted different compared to the ones I’ve had from other places. I can’t really put my finger on why, might be the non-dairy they use or a weak tea. On the other hand, the Matcha(Japanese green) milk tea my boyfriend ordered was delicious! I wish I had gotten that instead. Tapioca pearls were sweet enough but on the small side and a bit too chewy for my liking. Interestingly, our drinks were cheaper compared to other bubble tea shops around London. I may come back next time I’m in Camden to try their fruit teas but honestly I highly recommend the Matcha flavour!

Meh. I wandered into Chaboba after spending a bit of the morning walking from Tufnell Park to Camden. As a bubble tea enthusiast — especially as of late, I raced past all of the various food items(PS. When did Camden get an Honest Burger!!) to get my fill. I decided to go for the standard bubble tea — and in the end all i can say is «Meh». Why? Well, as I should have known from my reviews of other Bubble Tea houses, half the sugar is probably the way to go — I wont’ say this was TOO sweet but something about the tea just didn’t taste like the others. Finally — my real obsession with the tea itself is the tapioca balls and honestly, they were so small! Usually each slurp provides a new satisfaction, here I found myself having to finagle my straw every which way to get a few(which seems odd, since they were so small). Ultimately, I probably won’t be back.

Lovely juice bar. The bubble teas are amazing and when topped with the fruit pearls the drinks become outstanding. I can say that the place is quite unique for itself and the fact that they make their drinks from real fruit instead of all those chemically-induced syrups is an even bigger privilege. Prices are not that high and I can happily buy myself a drink whenever I pass by East Yard.

This hit the spot while staying in Camden. Iced drinks are hard to find anywhere but I was super excited to find a boba place 5 minutes from my flat. I will admit that Mooboo on Parkway was cheaper and a bit tastier… I went there more than Chaboba…

My favourite bubble tea shop in London is Chatime(I prefer their milk teas) but Chaboba comes a close second. They do everything just right — texture of the pearls(a huge factor!), sweetness of the tea, and most importantly, THEPRICE. £2.30 for jasmine green tea with pearls? Chaboba, how are you not more popular?!!

I’ll admit, I don’t live in London and I don’t know how Chaboba compares to other local bubble tea shops, but in comparison to other bubble teas I’ve had(and my waistline will tell you I’ve had plenty), Chaboba is just a’ight. The pros: — Cute shop — Fresh tapioca pearls cooked correctly! Not too soft, too chewy, or too hard. — The coffee«milk» tea I had was pretty good. — Samples! The cons: — Milk teas aren’t made with milk, they’re made with… uh, something else. Non-dairy creamer, or something like that. — Small menu That first con is a pretty big biggie. It’d be nice if they offered milk OR milk-substitute. Chaboba is a pretty good place for a first foray into bubble tea connoisseurism, but keep your eyes open, there are probably better bubble teas to be had.

I don’t give out 5 stars easily and this place does it because it showed me something new and delightful. I had bubble tea from numerous places including Taiwan. This place wowed me by their popping bubbles which is the first time I had it. Popping bubbles are basically orgasms in your mouth, you have to try it. A friendly reminder is that they let you try their bubbles before you order and I suggest take advantage of that because you don’t want strawberry popping bubbles in your traditional tea for instance. They pricing is on the pricy side. They are kinda hidden also; they are located in Camden Lock next to bars and pubs. Kinda misplaced if you ask me. See you at Chaboba. The End.

mmmm Im not sure. They have a smaller menu that I’d like. But they’re new so ok fine. And Im a coffee boba kind of girl. I noticed their list of a few coffee/milk teas had a little disclaimer underneath that said«non-dairy»… “uh what are you’re MILK teas made with then??” «non dairy creamer» «so is that soy? or rice milk or something?» «(insert chemical names that I don’t remember being read off the back of a package of powder)» «oookkkaaayyy» On the cool side. They’ll let you sample any boba/jelly/bits that you’d like to try. They even sell just those boba bits in little cups for like a pound something. I just had to try the one labeled yogurt pearls. It’s not tapioca, it’s little balls of yogurt? flavored liquid. So they pop in your mouth. Kind of freaked me out when I first tasted it. and then I wanted to buy a cup of them.

Prior to walking by Chaboba, I didn’t even know what a bubble waffle was, but I innately knew it need it in my belly immediately — like a bubble waffle belly Rainman. Uncanny, really. Turns out, there’s a lot more to get excited about at Chaboba than just bubble waffles… and all the excitement revolves around the range of boba and jelly on offer. Through their infinite amount of samples, I discovered they offer strawberry, mango, passion fruit, lychee and yogurt(yes yogurt) popping bubbles.(I may subsequently turn into a popping bubble, Violet Beauregarde style, but it would be worth it. popping. bubbles. Get it.) But wait, there’s more! They also offer mixed fruit jellies as well as pineapple, lychee and green nata de coco. These guys really blow me away with their bubble selection. They have the fancy shakers, they have the heat-sealers, they have an awesome group of people working behind the counter willing to try new and interesting combos(trust me, I tested them on this one).
