As you walk in you are met with lovely smells from the roasted nuts, in all their varieties, dried fruits, fresh nougat and different flavoured turkish delights. The staff are not helpful or very attentive, and you will be left to explore the goods yourself. unless of course you can break out into Iranian and tell them you understood exactly what they were grinning and laughing about…
However, that aside. the produce is quite decent but, the packaging of particular products such as the turkish delights, nougats, cakes. have to be challenged slightly. do ask for a box, if you want. or a separate plastic bag if you are giving gifts to different people etc.
If you enjoy your fresh nougats and turkish delights (mmm, how the stomach rumbles!!), then try and consume within 1 – 2 days from purchase as these do not keep texture nor taste for much longer.
