Probably the most decent Caribbean food in the local area, though I feel their standards are starting to slip.

I have a love/​hate relationship with CJ. At the best of times they serve up reasonably authentic Jamaican influenced food. Curried mutton, oxtail, ackee and saltfish (the Jamaican national dish), jerk chicken and more. At times the food can be a tad too oily for my liking and inconsistent (a few times I’ve been served plantains blackened from the oil it’s fried in).
The restaurant has an open kitchen as you walk in, with the seating area set to the back, which is good for diners as you won’t get disturbed by the many take out visitors. Recommended for casual dining.
