When walking several times along the lovely Regents Canal I often looked at the nice terrace of this Canal pub/bar. One sunny afternoon I finally decided to stop for a coffee. I think the lady behind the bar desk was eating her lunch, sitting on the back, as she was not happy to see me. I understand that it must suck if you don’t get a proper break, but hey it is not my fault! The service was stormy to say the least. There was no hello, no thank you. The coffee spoiled over as she hit it on the table. Well the place looked nice and terrace is quiet and the view is great. I wish there was more of these along the canal, as this is a bit tucked away close to King’s Cross.

If you are ever around King’s Cross on a sunny day, I highly recommend walking down to the Canal towards Caledonia Road and take a walk all the way down to Camden. However, if you are feeling lazy, just stop at this pub and enjoy the quiet outdoor terrace with a lovely view on the canal. You will be able to watch the ducks glide by, observe the fishermen and wonder if they would actually risk eating anything that comes out from the canals, and giggle at the runners on the banks sides. Accompany this pleasant experience with a good pint and some fresh good British food for the perfect sun-filled experience.
