Caffe Paradiso

— Overpriced breakfast sets that were nothing special.
— Slow service.
— Unhygienic (waitress was coughing everywhere… over utensils etc — she had a bad cough and should clearly have been off work).

A quiet little café on a Bloomsbury side street. They have good coffee and the staff are all friendly. There’s also lots of gelato if that’s what you’re aching for. The weather was a bit too gloomy to tempt me but all in all a very nice café.
My only (small) complaint is that because it’s so quiet, it feels very empty and this is accentuated by the lack of any music. It also means that if there is only one other person in the café, who’s sitting on the opposite side of the shop, and they are issuing an angry tirade on the phone then that is literally the only sound inside and you cannot escape the blind fury.
tl;dr If you’re looking for a café to sit in nearby the British Museum, this is a pretty good shout

Stopped in here to have a quick breakfast after looking at other reviews!
Adorable café that had a great little area to get work done or just to relax.
Had an espresso and the Sausage and Egg breakfast sandwich.
Now coming from the States, I thought that the espresso would be larger and that the sandwich would be smaller, but needless to say, I have some adjusting to do.
Everything was delicious and very fairly priced! Made a great impression on me as I was searching for a convenient place to get food while studying at nearby NYU London.

Nice little place where I find very good cannoli !!!
They even make various flavours but since I love the original cannoli I didn’t wanted to try another one. And the good thing is they do different sizes so I was able to take a small one wich is really nice :)

Comfortable place to hang out, drink good coffee and eat pastries. Staff is consistently friendly. Stick to the Italian fare, the porridge was dry.

Best coffee in London and amazing desserts as well as lunches! The arancini are incredible and come with a salad. They also have sandwiches and pizzas.
The downstairs area is a wonderful, quiet place — great for lunch for two!
It is also close to UCL campus and the British Museum — perfect location.

This is one of many coffee shops along Store Street but this is definitely worth a visit. I have been there twice now and both times it was a comfortable and intimate environment. The décor is wonderfully warm and inviting and there is a range of seating options from high tables to arm chairs to comfy couches. The staff are friendly and quick though they won’t be overly bouncy and enthusiastic. Personally I’d rather have good accommodating service than a spastic puppy in human form. One woman thought that her chocolate cake was too rich for her taste and they happily exchanged it for another option without question and gave her the change back since the new choice was cheaper. I had their cannoli which was delicious and flaky, their Italian food was o so good, and the coffee is definitely a plus. It’s smooth and flavorful like I have yet to find in London. The friend I brought today also loved it and I think it will soon be our new secret coffee spot.
