Good strong coffee that can keep me awake for hours and warm my insides no matter how cold it is outside. They do serve a few savouries and sweets, but as usual I was just picking up coffee to go. It’s worth it to note that Nero serves some of the strongest coffees for chain shops. Inspite of being a small location, they have managed to squeeze in quite a bit of seating on the inside. It’s a good place to grab a latte or cappuccino before a show at one of the nearby theatres

A tiny corner location, this caffe Nero proved ideal for that 3pm pick me up. Quiet and with no lines(at this time) the barista had no problem quickly whipping up a coffee based concoction. Staff were warm and the area clean, what else can a customer ask for when walking into a chain?

Busy at dinner time, there was a brief queue(«line» in American) while the baristas prepared drinks. Steaming espresso and blending frappuccino do not make for a quiet and peaceful meeting place. Plenty of tables, though I did not spot many electrical outlets nearby. I briefly tried connecting my laptop to the wifi but gave up — it might work for you. Decent coffee and pastries.

I don’t normally like chains, but this particular Caffe Nero is an exception. When at Kings, around the corner, I used to spend many an afternoon curled up in one of the window armchairs reading a book and people-watching onto Waterloo Bridge. Unlike some Neros which lack character, the size and layout of this one is perfect for its Italian theme. The coffee is excellent, and the bar manned almost always by Italians. You can choose to sit on comfy sofas, normal chairs, high stools or at the bar — whatever takes your fancy. There is an area at the back tucked away from the bar, which is good if you want to avoid the front-of-house bustle. This is a great place to grab a coffee whatever mood you’re in.
