If you’re craving home cooked food you could do a lot worse than Café House.
There are lots of options ranging from sandwiches, jacket potatoes right through to a good range of meat, potato and two veg options. You invariably pay between £4-£7 for main dishes but the portions are huge and staff are flexible if you want to swap boiled potatoes for chips for instance.
In December they offered a really good Christmas lunch offer where for a mere £6.99 you were served a turkey dinner with all the trimmings.
Ample seating inside and friendly staff, make this a good spot for having a relaxed and informal meal.
